    You already get to upgrade to 10 for free if you're running 7 or 8.
    This offer would be targeting the people on older platforms without and existing upgrade path. Still running XP? Beta test 10 and get it for free. (Course if you're still running XP you'd probably like to get new hardware now anyway).

    I spend a lot of money to live in a nice location in downtown Seattle, and cable TV and Internet are not available on my block. DSL is spotty, and since I live on the top floor, there's no way to make it work. The cabling to the building and inside the building is just too old.

    Doesn't sound like such a nice location to me.

    It can be short (length) and full height and fit fine in cube chassis like a CoolerMaster Elite 110, or a low-profile case that uses a horizontal riser.

    they worded it badly but pretty much they are complaining that amazon is selling the fire TV and other media sticks, while banning KODI, which without addons is not any different.

      Seems like an issue with anti competitive behavior

    Why does the foundation find this "absurd"? Just sounds like business as usual for content/platform lock-in and large companies using their control over a marketplace to remove competition.

    Kinda reminds me of how Apple removes apps that "duplicate functionality built into iOS" and then at the same time "adopts" features of the best third-party utilities in new iOS versions.

    If it was less than $10 it might not have even been 4x8GB.
    According to their website, you're lucky to get ONE drive for less than $10.

    Buying flash drives in retail stores is like buying USB and HDMI cables in stores -- an exercise only to be done when you really HAVE to have it now. For everything else, there's NewEgg and Monoprice.

    If people are claiming that you're throttling their torrents they may be having an issue with their service in general that is keeping them from utilizing the connection to the full potential. These issues may be with the customer's own equipment or networking, or indicative of an issue with the service itself.

    What is the result of your technical support department's investigations into these issues?

    Why would you be throttling ports? There's nothing illegal about using torrents.
    Sounds like these people are simply using the service they paid for.
