  1. Get Use To It... on Visual Tour of Office 2007 Beta 2 · · Score: 1

...because most companies are going to adopt it if they haven't already purchased a Software Assurance agreement with Microsoft. It's the way of things - assimilate. Resistance is futile.

But all kidding aside, most people in the business world can't find or have to be trained to find the features in Office that they have been paying for the last 10 years. Ever met an Excel guru? They're few and far between and usually harassed by everyone in their department or company. That's not a problem with most slahdot'ers so there's no possible way any of you will benefit from the new features.

But you will assimilate. Oh yes... you will assimilate.

Microsoft doesn't answer to their investors. If they did, they'd be moving as slow as Sony or not at all when you consider the amount of money they've lost. In the end they'll win, Sony's console is $600. And we thought the 360 was too expensive...

Why even mention minorities in the report? Did they mention the majorities? Are they not part of the Men and younger adults category? How many Irish or Italian Americans play games? Think about it. Is it really that significant or are we trying to say something here? Because America's population is still over 75% white.

Maybe if it should just say Americans or not include any specific race or include all races.

    What do you think?

  7. Shutup and See What Happens on Xbox Author Discusses Microsoft Handheld · · Score: 0, Troll

Here we go again with more of the typical Slashdot slam fest, like every other one that shows up when the big bogeyman Microsoft is mentioned. The haters and flamers will get modded up as insightful or funny while jerk posts like mine will go untouched or modded down to troll or offtopic.

I don't care whether you hate them or are in bed with them, they are here to stay in the gaming community and they aren't going away. And let's be honest, how many slahdot'ers bought Nintendo gamecubes and play Mario brothers based content all the time? No thanks, I'll take an XBOX with adult content any day of the week and twice on Tuesday - to hell with waiting for Sony's next product to come out or another Mario Kart. I'm an adult damn it and I want to play adult games (I'm so mature)!

But to say that Microsoft doesn't belong in the handheld console market means that you all bought PSP's or that gay stylus Nintendo dual screen hunk of junk and are sooo pleased with the way things are. There's always room for more products and other companies to get into the business. If there wasn't, we would all still be playing pong on our TV's. I look forward to seeing how MS fails or triumphs in the handheld market. Maybe they'll cause the other two big players to focus and create better products with the next generation.

Thanks! I'm not normally a suck up but now I feel vindicated. I've spent a considerable amout of time in boring MS webcast propaganda sessions and the only thing that keeps me on excited is the security features and enterprise management. I get half chubs thinking aout what I can do or allow folks not to do with my little new OS...O O O yeah...
