Why do you assume that the words mean the same thing on each picture?
They all would have been drawn at totaly different times under different circumstances. It does seem likely that the words are the character names, but that doesn't mean it's definitely the case.
There's no point in getting worked up about it until there's some real proof.
The thing that bothers me the most is the second claim.
The first one is ridiculous enough, and obviously the one that they're getting uptight about, but the second one shows a far scarier thing.
"Exactly the same as 1, but different when doctors use it" The proffession of the members of the group should have no bearing on the technical implementation of something like this, so why the hell is it in the list of claims?
I remember when ARTs was KSynth...I used to be really interested in that project. But when it became the soundserver for KDE, the alanlogue synth portions were pretty much neglected. What would be excellent would be if ARTs could return to it's roots as an Analogue RealTime Synthesiser, and use GStreamer as it's audio pipeline...and tie in with the MIDI support too (if GStreamer ever gets it). Then there'd be really useful application that could be easily integrated into an audio production system.
Are you completely insane? Recommending VNC over X for LAN usage?
X was designed for remote usage. It's an excellent solution for LAN usage. I'd agree that VNC is better for slower links, but for home LAN usage X is definitely the right way to go.
there is no chip that runs or claims to run at 1700GHz whether you define GHz as 1000, 1024, or 78.3, the original post was (giving the benefit of the doubt) a typo.
The Indeed post was pointing that out and making fun of it...which has resulted in this depressingly long chain of missing the point.
It doesn't crash often enough to say it's a bad product - there's nothing to say it's not poor quality games. But the fact remains that I've had more XBox crashes in the year I've had it, than I've ever had on my launch day PS2.
I've had maybe 10 crashes on the XBox (In Hunter: The Reckoning, Whacked, Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance and Morrowind), and 2 or 3 on the PS2 (Summoner which was full of bugs anyway).
Well, I was only relaying what the article said...
However, at least 50% of the CDs I've bough over the last year (about 20 or so) have been less than AU $20 and almost all have been less than $30, and they've all been pretty good, just not top 40 crap.
And those that have been over $30 were relatively high demand, but low volume and from finland (Nightwish), so the logistics of getting them in stores in Australia probably the cause of the pricing.
There's a lot of quality music for $20 and less if you look for it.
BTW, what was the $39 album and where did you buy it? So I know what to avoid....
It's not by birth...officially, it's "By the Grace of God".
but since the Monarch of the British Commonwealth also happens to be the head of the Anglican church...it's pretty much up to them....hence by birth.
Also, the concept of anyone having reign over any people in any circumstances is fairly laughable if you really think about it....
Even in the most democratic of countries you are only given a choice of who you get ruling over you...you never get to choose to answer to no one, and you're usually stuck with whoever you choose for a period of years that was decided by someone else.
All those suggestions are new media formats, in that current DVD players wont play them, so it's all the same to the end user...
If there's going to be a new format, it might as well be one with more raw storage space so that at least the computer world benefits (not that that is high on the priority list of the average movie company)
that's 128MB not KB
Except he didn't start a software company called MikeRoweSoft he just named his web page that...
How many people are going to confuse MikeRoweSoft with microsoft?
The article is a bit bizzare though..they keep talking about copyright...this has nothing to do with copyright, it's a trademark issue...
> so I wanted to make reference to those musicians who'd like to support *true* opensource development.
So, what software does it use?, and where can we get the source?

47% is the maximum income tax level actually
They're the things you never see, but that the client swears that the new feature they want was in all along.
And the only thing it says about it is that there's not enough information about it yet.
Hence why he's looking for first hand epxeriences....
No, he's not.
He's saying buy two, and mirror them.
And how do you know the person next to you isn't an alien?
he's watching you right now......

You've still missed it...

Actually, it does....
Look it up. The definitions I find are "understood or known by only a few" , "hidden, secret", "requiring secret or mysterious knowledge"
It's pretty hard to be arcane and well documented at the same time, though I will agree that undocumented doesn't necesarily mean arcane.

when and where does this happen?
Mine crashes...and is unmodified.

Wow, a Register article and an Inquirer article confirm another Inquirer article.
I'm shocked.
I start believing any of this when I see press releases. Or at least when slighlt more reputable news sources start reporting it.

They probably said they made less money...which the article mentions..
But that's from lower prices, not from lower sales...
We'll ammend that then -

this has nothing to do with the GPL and everything to do with the cost of running a high load non profit web site.
That may be true, but XML would be a great way to bring them back!
Why would he have a saftey razor in his first aid kit?
Sounds to me more like he'd have a tool for cutting...
