Cartridge prices have always been comparable to CD prices. Especially if you weigh in all the costs of memory cards for all your CD/DVD based game saves.
If companies and governments punish people for publishing flaws in software, they are just shooting themselves in the foot. Soon these companies will be the last ones to know about a vulnerability...when its too late.

I'm not going to play a FPS with a console controller, just like I wouldn't want to set up a LAN just to play Smash Bros. It all works out.
From what i've heard from beta testers so far, its pretty much the same lvling treadmill we've gotten used to over the past few years. It's going to need something revolutionary to make me go out and buy this game, not the Warcraft name alone.
I think way too much emphasis is put on graphics: Both by the developers and consumers. I buy games for the fun factor and the gameplay. I could care less what a game looks like. Maybe it's because I grew up in the early years of video games, and can remember when games were just games. If I want reality i'll go outside.
I played this game for about 2 months, and became bored quickly, althought a few of my friends maxed out their characters and thought it was a lot of fun.
I just felt the game was too limited due to the fact that you were always in your ship. If there was land based content (aside from the space stations) I think it would of been more succcessful.
I'm just saying in this instance, which is the only thing relevant, they didn't break any US laws. I'm not trying to defend their activities, I a definitely against piracy. I just don't like how our govt. thinks they can do whatever they want wherever they want.
games like GTA3, Halo, and Madden are the bread and butter of most college-aged males video game experiences here in the west.
That's only because most of these people wouldn't know a good game if it got stuck in their beer bong.
