  1. I think you mean "raise more budget money"; which may or may not affect taxes.

I replied here as such so as to cause another type of alarm.
Yet, you have to figure that alarm out for yourself! ;-)

  2. Huh?! Jobless rate at lowest, too?! on The US Just Had the Most Q1 Layoffs in a Decade (axios.com) · · Score: 1

So how is it these stories manage to get posted securely OUT of context?

Supposedly, the USA is at the lowest jobless rate in a very long time.
With rises in AI and automation tech, are we really adding more jobs than are being cut?

    How about some clarity?

  3. It's a classic tale of capitalism gone a-wrye!

Amazon, in another attempt to get richer by adding it's own delivery system, has taken on a service already bested by more experienced companies, like USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc...

I say let the established, experienced companies handle shipping matters.
Let those companies figure out how to use drone deliveries, and how to catch "thug" drivers.
They seem to already be much better at it!

  4. Perhaps by the time SpaceX gets there, they can take Mr Maezawa's ashes!

  5. Seems that points are missing... on Wharton Professor Says America Should Shorten the Work Day By 2 Hours (cnbc.com) · · Score: 1

How does one get a US worker to focus for 6 of 6 work hours, when we cannot get 6 of 8 work hours out of them?!

  6. Sounds a bit like a cartoon character questioning the existence of the cartoonist!

  7. Criminal. What's the difference... on Citing 'Moral Requirement To Make Money', Pharma CEO Jacks Drug Price 400% (arstechnica.com) · · Score: 1

Criminal. What's the difference between ransomware and holding a cure for unreasonable prices and a loan shark?

Or, for that matter, holding a hostage captive for a large sum of cash?

    Not much difference, if any.
You are still doomed to (damnation) unless you can find the cash to pay!

    Also, a bit like terrorism!

  8. Think about this: tolls... on Net Neutrality Gives 'Free' Internet To Netflix and Google, ISP Claims (arstechnica.com) · · Score: 1

On toll roads, bigger vehicles, i.e. more axles, pay higher tolls.
That seems fair since those vehicles cause more wear and usage.

It only makes sense, in a capitalistic world, that higher usage of internet bandwidth pay more as well.

The neutrality I want is freedom to go where I want when I want to go there, at a reasonable rate.
A reasonable rate means NOT paying for a mega-million dollar CEO.
Capitalism is way broken in this respect!!!

  9. Re:What is the problem here? on Google Slammed Over Chrome Change That Strips 'www' From Domain URLs (itwire.com) · · Score: 1

Forcing a change down the throats of the masses outside of proper channels is arrogant, unethical, and monopolizing.
It is anarchy at it's worst.

Any good doctor worth a visit would know to "read between (Dr Holick's) lines" and bring realistic, applicable info to patients.

Consider, also, that most (western patients) are too stupid to realize that Vit D supplements are NOT a replacement for sunshine!

  12. DUH!!!

Yes, "Red Tides" are a known recurring natural phenomena.

Yet, this "alarmist" notice is relatively warranted as the occurrence and persistence is far, far greater than has ever been recorded.
And, the toxicity of this particular strain is higher than usual.

Seems prudent to me for any intelligent species to keep both an eye on this and perhaps determine the causes and remedies.

    Who's the "tard" here?

  15. In the Dragon, you'll likely not have other (drivers) around you vying for road space, drawing your attention; at least for the first year or so! ;-)

  16. Smartphone?! More like a Personal Augmenter.

I cannot imagine that any bank would divulge personal info to any entity. I object to even the gov getting anything.

I've had enough. I am deleting all of my online social accounts, and news accounts.
I am pulling all of my cash out of all institutions and buying gold.

I have had DSL in a few client locations and it is far more problematic than fiber, or cable.
Plus, Verizon, at least, intends to close their copper plants in the relatively near future.
Copper has become too expensive to maintain.

Win7 is still considered a far more desirable platform, irregardless of what is actually installed.
Your are definitely better off with Linux.

Easier to pay a little thru the nose at first, as "painless as possible - so you don't notice, until you are ADDICTED!!!

Then, when virtually no choices remain, you have no choice. You are locked in, and doomed to remain a (battery in the matrix).

Well, okay, a little dramatic, yet you get the point. Right?

  24. Perusing virtually any Amazon item will yield a majority of bogus or irrelevant reviews.

I am always finding reviews for products other than the one I am viewing, and they are even marked as "verified purchase"!

WTF?!?!?! These "reviews" should be classified as false and misleading advertising tricks, and ANY seller
engaging in these practices, especially Amazon and Newegg, should be summarily fined AND punished appropriately.

This is an abuse of Capitalism that gives Capitalism a very bad reputation.
Buyer beware: make sure you can return the item for a full refund; as this item is likely not what we say it is!
