  1. It is BAD for EVERYONE to allow this sort of unethical, dishonest behavior. It is incumbent on ALL peoples to demand that the entity 'Microsoft' fix this, and all related behaviors, immediately in order to regain any integrity. Until MS stops treating people like money mines, they need to be boycotted.

  2. We're done! on Burning All Fossil Fuels Would Scorch Earth, Says Study (phys.org) · · Score: 1

Seems like we are hopelessly done: Even though it is prudent to err on the side of caution, especially since this is a matter of survival, the majority of humankind still refuses to take remedial action. Thus, we are a self-sabotaging race of idiots that deserves the extinction we are headed for. We empower dangerous people: Hitler, Stalin, Trump, ... We ignore scientific data that clearly suggests steps to taken immediately. Are you angry enough to do something radical yet?!

  3. ... Apparently Netflix offered Disney a better deal for the content than Hulu, et al. Disney doesn't make movies just to make us happy. They do it to make money. That is the American Way.

Acknowledged on the money thing. Yet, my question is: Why cannot Hulu, et al, also have the same deal simultaneously? Or, perhaps a different deal? How is it different that I should have the right to choose my ISP? I get that different ISPs offer different packages (i.e. speeds, etc...), yet it is still access to the internet and all the content there in it's multitude of forms. Seems to be a grey area here.

I believe that breakfast, itself, is not being thwarted. Just that it may not be as bad to skip it if you feel the desire. It may still be better for you, yet not necessarily to force yourself to eat breakfast. Seems to me to more important to BE AWARE of your own real needs and best practices. Not everyone is the same. Not everyone is an interchangeable part of a super Matrix. The point is: THINK. It is far better to be sure you get all the facts and stop eating bullshit - for knowledge OR breakfast!

  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, yet is this not along the lines of a monopoly? What if I prefer Amazon Prime, or Hulu? Now I have to have Netflix , too?! How about if Disney just make their content available to ALL providers. Let the market compete for the content. It's the American way, isn't it?!

  11. It seems sooooo easy to screen job candidates based on qualifications that to hire based on other factors would be NOT in the best interest of the company. How about testing CURRENT employees for qualifications?! I have, MANY times, encountered personnel from a company I hired that are far under-qualified for the job they were supposed to be doing, and the 'diversity data' of these incompetents' do NOT jive with any numbers I see here. If you are NOT qualified, either GET qualified or find a more suitable job!

Everywhere else 'football' is soccer, including in Russia. And, by the way, soccer is FAR more popular than 'American football'. So, then, those not getting the 'football pitch' reference are in a quite small minority; perhaps some of whom are also likely narcissistic and arrogant. Yet, I digress from here!

  23. It is time to classify internet access as a public utility. Period. It is totally unethical for ISPs to capitalize users every year with another unreasonable rate hike - or worse, unreasonable options. My elderly mother watches 3 broadcast stations only, and relies on the iPad (Facetime) to keep in touch with her grandkids (et al). She cannot afford, nor physically tolerate, the extensive travel to keep in touch as often as should be. Internet communications fill that need. She does not even want cable TV (which is all garbage reruns anyway), yet is being told that cable TV plus internet is $40/mo (for pitiful speeds of 768K - this is NOT DSL!) yet internet alone is $65/mo - for the same speed. Internet has become a necessity to maintain contact with our most valuable citizens - our wise elderly - to afford a more pleasant final years of existence and to keep them actively current within the family. This 'new' plan threatens to unreasonably increase her cost where there is no increase in her "income" (husband's pension) to cover it. So, perhaps she can cut back on food or water or sewer or taxes or other necessity to pay the cable CEO's rediculous salary! BULLSHIT! Make the internet more easily affordable and available as a right, since it has become as necessary as water and sewage, and police protection. What say you?
