    To put this in perspective, the entire US GDP in 2006 was $13.13 trillion. That's 8.7 million copied CDs.

    I don't agree with the plan. But at least now the kids that are smart enough to create fake email addresses will be smart enough to know that anyone else on facebook could be lying about their age too, using fake addresses, etc.

    You're right. 44.1 MHz PCM would give about 4.32 seconds of audio. Now that's high fidelity.

    HTML is a way of describing documents so that they can be viewed and interacted with on a lot of platforms. It will NOT look the same on all platforms, it will NOT print well on all platforms (as a matter of fact, it will probably print very poorly on most platforms)

    I know what you mean. Those GIF and Flash animations don't print well at all.

    Unless I can get a 24 page per second printer...

    Linksys make great routers

    The quality of Linksys routers varies from product to product, as a lot of people that own a WAG54G (v1) will tell you:

    Incidentally, the Simplex method -- unlike differential calculus-based methods for more general problems like the Kuhn-Tucker method -- is quite programmable on a computer, and quite efficient.

    The Simplex method can be combined with Kuhn-Tucker conditions and a few small tweaks to solve quadratic problems. This is know as Quadratic Programming (QP).

    Quadratic Programming is used in solving portfolio optimisation problems, a mathematical way to ensure a portfolio of risky assets are diversified.

    It's called a dead man switch: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadman's_switch

    Steam trains have a switch that the driver must periodically/continuously press to keep the train from stopping. If the driver 'dies' then the train will stop.
