who made "Troops" and give them and "Robot Chicken" the whole damned franchise. Oh, and pull your lightsabers on Lucas if he says ANYTHING about it. Otherwise nuke it from space. It's the only way to be sure (meta-allusions are fun).
is that, even after finding out that the kid's project was harmless, they went to his house and inspected his garage. There was no rational suspicion of wrongdoing, no evidence to justify further investigation. I can only assume that this was the "We always have to be absolutely sure" excuse used far too often to go where they don't have a real right to.
"Producing" a Higgs in this sense only means detecting its presence (in)directly. Higgs, if it exists, is ubiquitous in the universe already, saying that its presence is abhorrent to nature is like saying an electron is. Nature is quite comfortable with the presence of all of its particles, and doesn't give a rat's ass if we ever see any of them.
You forget that, because of time dilation, you cannot observe a particle passing through an event horizon. In essence, once the time has passed when the probe particle is supposed to have 'actually' gone through, they become effectively decoupled because there can be no paradox between the image of the probe (which never crosses) and the 'actual' probe (which cannot be accessed). One cannot even tell what the attributes of the probe are any more (particles may spontaneously transform as their spacial and time coordinates mix inside the horizon), much less if the state in question agrees with its mate.
The video recruitment via video game is straight from The Last Starfighter. You have been recruited by the Star League to protect the frontier from Xur and the Kodan Armada...
and wasn't impressed by this "nano-threat 1.0". They work okay so far - on a verrry flat surface - but on shag carpet? Staircases, elevator thresholds, door jambs, etc? Not so much. I'll wait a few hundred more generations for the first "don't make me laugh" models.
was the last time I went out to the movies. I may not be able to stop this rapine bullshit, but I will not be subjected to it if I can reasonably help it.
This will just insure that it remains lurching forward, arms extended, and sniffing at potential sources of new brains for generations to come. Let them and Disney both die. But what do I know? I've been reading Heavy Metal for thirty years.

I see absolutely no chance of this going wrong. Perhaps they could send it out after all the kudzu...
My god, men, think of what you're doing!!!:p
Well, duh. The unfinished areas in WoW don't have any rewards because they're not meant to be used. Hence 'unfinished'. They're just spots left over from map-building or early versions that no longer have a use.
This reminds me of bumper stickers from the `70s. "Fusion Power by 1990". I'm not saying that this is more hand waving to mesmerize investors into another ten years of fruitless research, but...the track record for fusion power research is not that great.
DRM, otherwise known as the Master Control Program, is a nifty tool for corporate kings (and their shills), but not the last one. What these companies are aiming for is eternal pay-for-play, when every view, listen, or use of media must be paid for instantly. It's not a conspiracy if they don't have to conspire. They all want it that way, so they don't even have to cooperate in secret. Hail Pirate Bay!
Do not read the above comment. It has been reviewed by upper party members and found to be subversive lies. The writer will be reeducated. Big Brother loves you!
I hear you. I'd like to see a climbing talent learned like others for rogues and hunters, which would allow learning to mountain climb in the classic maps. So much unused area out there to see (or build in)!
Have you seen the humongous dead zone south of Un'goro/Silithus? Get there by swimming around Tanaris and running up mountains south of Un'Goro. It's half the size of the areas at least. Another deep valley/pit, Un'goro overlook, bottomless pits, the whole freaky half-made thing. Most of all, a valley you can't even see across with medium graphics.
Good luck trying to stop people who have already proven themselves masters of the internet. This is laughable. The German social site will no doubt suddenly start finding dozens, if not hundreds, of "members" devoted to the cause.

Welcome to the Game Grid.
I've heard rumors that a similar notice is waiting at the offices in Alpha Centauri, but I haven't been out that way yet.

Battlestargate Galactiverse. `Nuff said.

Wishful litigation?

See above about another one like this gotten to from Stonetalon Peak. It's not as big, but has an abandoned lumber mill and is open to Silithus.
I think the area south of Un'goro is bigger than the Stonetalon/Desloace one, but it doesn't have the abandoned lumber mill! Interesting places, both.

To the producers of BSG and Stargate: GET OUT. Get out while you still can.
I invite the lawyers for MS kindly to line up and KISS MY A$$.
