And what's more (from TFA's FA):

If you want control of your content you need to lock it down in a vault and never show it to anyone. We gave up control of our content the day we started broadcasting. For years our most popular content have been available on BitTorrent and on sites like YouTube anyway. DRM doesnâ(TM)t work. The only way to control your content is to be the best provider of it. If people want it on YouTube then you should publish it on YouTube or in a system that give the same experience. If people want it on BitTorrent then you should provide that. If you do it right people will come to your official publish point and you'll end up with more control.

I've got a Helio Ocean. It's battery life can vary greatly depending on what I'm doing, and where I'm doing it.
For example, my office happens to be partially underground and surrounded by a lot of concrete, so I get terrible signal at my desk. Using the phone's browser (to read sites blocked by my employer) a lot, or using the IM application, will drain the batter in 5-6 hours.
The same activities when sitting in my car waiting for my wife to leave work use MUCH less battery, because that happens to see me sitting within 100 yards of a cell tower. The phone also puts out signifigantly less heat. I imagine I could use data in this way for 8-10 hours.
Not using the phone much at all (it still checks for new email on it's own), making a couple quick calls/text messages, I can get 2-2.5 days worth of use before charging.

The optimist in me hopes that Sony's portable charger would let me get a full week of heavy use out of my phone.

I agree with you that the DVD releases have been of much lower quality than the original show. However, I'm hoping (and believe) that the movie-length format was simply wrong for the show, and they would do much better if they were allowed to return to a 20 minute format.

The email also contained commentary on how the managment might benefit from a little reading.

Agreed. What's more annoying, a post on the front page that takes up 1/8th of a screen, or 50 posts complaining about it's existence?

There's some of us here that actually enjoy movies, and those of you who don't think that entertainers have a valid place in society are being either stubborn or naive. Yes, the scientists/authors/statesmen are all important as well, but I've always thought that one of the most important markers of civility is the quality and variety of entertainment options open to people.

We can't work all the time, entertainment is important and necessary. And sometimes, it's even nerdy. If you have to, justify this post to yourself by the fact that two comic book movies were up for awards last night.

Once the media is done being created, it becomes essentially free to distribute and reproduce. Drop the price by 75%, leave out DRM, and new markets open up for it. There's 6.5 billion people on this planet. Only about half of them have internet so far, but we're quickly zoning in on a world where if you have electricity, you have internet. So make something good enough and cheap enough, and you'll make a tidy profit off the masses.
