the rumor spawned because that is what one of the 3rd party developers slipped up and called it during an interview around E3 time. i *THINK* it was one of the capcom developers, but not 100% sure.
the ARM7 CPU isnt just there for backward compat, however, as the ARM7 and the ARM9 are operational at the same time, thus allowing each CPU to be dedicated to a screen.
from what nintendo consumer service will tell you, in their info base, it says GBA games play perfectly, whereas, anything older, will NOT. this is because the GBA has a GBC processor along side it. in the DS, they opted out on continueing to have the aditional CPU used for the GBC. also, there was various other changed in the hardware, such as the voltage differences, as the link port difference.
another note: "the DS does not replace the GBA, but is marketed along side it", and now you know what they mean by that.
not too sure about this, considering in the past, they actually mentioned the "existing library of over 500+ titles", so, a much smaller number like 120 may actually be DS games. also, considering how they are churning out the re-makes, a great deal of the games are most likely classic SNES and N64 games.
i second that. i personally run geil in my main machine (this one that im using right now).
i was a bit worried about heat tho when i first got them, because they are 216 (433)mhz chips w/o heat spreaders, but what they did with their golden dragon series was nice, altho the red eyes do clash with the blue themed computer to create an odd "purple haze" effect in the middle of the system.
not only that... but back in the day, we had to buy all 10 albums to get the top 10 songs, even if they where on CDs, you still needed to buy 10 different CDs, each with the 1 good song, and the rest, utter krap.
nowadays? we just buy ourselves a "top 10 compilation CD", and we are SET! maybe its themselves that are doing them in?
(just for the record, i have never bought anything from a top-10 list, as i prefer more international music)
tell that to all the people that think MP3s are Lame, and re-encoder their files into some other format.
that right there causes generational quality loss, and is a very common thing. people think one format has crappy quality, so, they convert it to another format directly, instead of using the original media, therefor, making the quality even *worse*, reguardless of bitrate and other settings. i cant even count the amount of times ive seen others do this...
my thought is that in 2nd grade, the teacher told us to make a topic sentance, and then for the rest of the paragraph, DESCRIBE THAT SENTANCE, not some other completely random and arbitrary idea. so, is it mathamatical, or the opression of the 2nd grade teacher?
we think we may have the very first blog worm this past weekend as well. after reports of a potential security exploit in LiveJournal, a small team went to work to create a "proof of concept" self-replicating javascript code designed specifically to post itself in a viewers journal.
how secure is this system? if i buy one, am i going to have to run "univac update" every day? or does it support automatic updates from a remote tape drive?
I have talked w/ brennan about the pr0n last week, and he gave me the link the application dynamically pulls all of the images from: random images - WARNING, potentially NSFW, its random.
what *IS* the name for the older system then? is USED to be called PSX, and then they remodeled it into the PS1, and then came along a PS2, and now we have a PSX again? this is all too confusing for the average-joe.
my best is that somehow the krappy wiring on my cable modem (that i had been running for two years) was bellow spec, and somehow shut down the entire cable network in my neighborhood. i laughed at that one.
what about games that require multiple buttons at once then? like in super metroid... L and R are for look, and then you have your run, jump, shoot, and what was the last button? wasnt that moon walking? wich is also useful. and start/select are also needed to go to menu, and switch switch weapons.
*SOME* games will work, but not ALL.
it really made me sad to find out the GBA was lacking two buttons when they made it tho... i'm hoping the DS has a more SNES style configuration.
the gameboy has already had HTTP servers and other things writen for it.. i am *not* make this up... im *not* trying to make another april fools reply here... seriously, there was an HTTP server. the GBA has also done things such as run visualizations for winamp... the GBA's serial port can be linked to a PC's serial port for communications. my GBA project
and on another note.. i would just like everyone to know that the original GBA and the GBA-SP are the EXACT SAME in terms of hardware... the "SP Platform" actually sounds a lil unedicated, since they are both exactly the same (except for the headphone jack, and the batteries)
and on a final note, considering the GBA can read AND write clash carts inserted into it... how hard do you think it would be to actually store an OS on one, and compile it using GCC designed for the ARM7 CPU anyways? plus, with the adition of a keyboard connected to the serial port, this makes it that much easier to work with.
the problem with this is the fact all those billions are in stocks. if he where to pull out even say 10% of his stocks, everyone would get scared, and pull out too, vastly dropping the costs of his stocks.
and as for investing in new technologies with that money... take a look at the house he lives in now. take a look at all the various technologies that he had specifically invested into just so his house would be the way it is today.
gates doesnt stay in the spotlight like everyone from hollywood, but sure enough, he is a person, and he does actually DO things. there is a constant stream of investments that he makes... but never anything such as fundaning an entire agancey the size of NASA.

Lets see... it is most likely fast enough for MP3 playback, as its faster than the old 486 i started with for MP3s.
next, it has a built in mic.
lastly, it was built in WiFi (802.11b).
VoIP anyone?
just so long as they remake Game & Watch games for it, im set!

I just hope that BelAir isn'r ran by The Fresh Prince of BelAir
Laptop: $500
ATI RemoteWonder: $50
IR-Blaster: $50
ability to use an RF remote to control virutally *any* IR device? priceless.

which apparently allows for 'seamless panoramas' of up to 360 degrees.
they make it sound like it could possibly go larger.

"Kowing is half the battle!"
the other half is killing.
please keep in mind tho, that Cisco and Linksys ARE the same company now. how much further spread is this to their other products?
how about someone make a video of loading this site and speed it up 95x, so it appears that the site still loads fast?

much like the Sony PSX is to the PlayStation 2
WHAT !?!? the PS2 is the successor to the PSX... neither is a stripped down version of the other. the PS2 came out several years *after* the PSX.
