Uhm... there's something called T9 on most phones...
It's predictive text input and it does the job fairly well although far from perfect since many words have the same keystrokes. And with the inclusion of Bluetooth, programs that interface with it are quite convenient and infact, break up the messages into several sections if you go beyond the limit. Bluephone Elite is my favorite program for this since I could be in class taking notes and texting a friend without having to take out my phone to do so. Quite convinient in an area without a Wi-Fi signal...
But alas, most of the tweens don't know how to spell and all predictive text input programs depend on you being able to spell...
And SMS is very convenient when one is unable to talk and the best part about it being a poor man's email is that you don't have to put up with any spam other than the occasional carrier SMS ad which one can opt-out of anyway.
One of the grad students at my school developed this system as his masters project...
Don't know if it's of any help but you might try contacting a Dr. Sun since he was the advisor.
It doesn't automatically grade the homeword, but it does let you set time limits and since it uploads directly to the server, you won't have to deal with students saying they got the wrong email address.
The system, currently, is only for homework and old code retrival but many other things are planned for it.
For all of you who also read Digg (or skim it like I do) you'd understand when I say that I am bloody tired of hearing 'wow' and 'amazing' to end sentences...
It's sad to see normal english words going the way of the leetspeek...
Oh yes, and we all know how effective Uncle Sam is in the real world at preventing 13yrlds with bad parents from becoming pregnant...
Dude, one way or another, this'll happen. An ignored kid with find his/her niche and sadly, I've seen my share of kids going into the wrong niche and that was before internet social groups were the norm.
/me has owned two Sony Cassette WalkMans, two Sony Discmans (Discmen?), one Sony Walkman NetMD Player... /me now owns a 3G iPod and damn happy with it.
I kept going for more and more space while each new gadget was shiny-er. As for battery life, well, that's what TruePower batteries are for.
On a side note, I for one hate the ClickWheel with a vengence. Much preffer no moving parts on the physical interface hence I'll stick to my 3G iPod.
But then again... some people like tactile feedback:x
Dude, it doesn't matter how good your argument is.
He'll still be mad.
And here's my reasoning behind it. His About Page states this
My favourite colour is purple.
And we all know people fall into two categories, the Pink supporters and the Purple supporters, who for the most part tend to dislike the other color. I for one like pink and don't even recognize this 'purple' he speaks of as a color!
So what if the plot was pathetic? The point of the movie wasn't to have this kickass end-all-be-all plot. It was to bring the Cloud branch of the FFVII story to a close, which it did in a somewhat satisfactory manner.
And you do have to agree that even plotwise, Advent Children was a hell of alot better than Spirits Within at explaining the concept of the LifeStream. Sure it was only a slight narrative at the begining but the fact you're watching the movie means you already know the story of the game. And that is what whoever wrote the story for Advent Children was able to draw from and expand on. Unlike Spirits Within which didn't explain the concept all that well (IMO) and didn't have such a large backstory to draw from.
When you think about it, these kinds of thing may very well be the early precursors to the Space Infantry Suits...
Soon the US will be declaring war on anything that isn't from earth..
Mind you there is a rather decent doujinshi. Hasn't been updated in two weeks, but for the quality that is produced, I have no complaints. http://bleedman.snafu-comics.com/
they go off and raid and ISP! Well, there goes the idea of making an ISP startup

In response to typical gangsta rap, I agree with you there. But that doesn't mean that all the rap out there with gangsta influences is not for thinking people. Take for example Immortal Technique. He's mostly, if not all, politics.
If you want information on Tech, like interviews done as to why he raps about politics and such, a very informative site done by another underground rapper known as Demics (short for Academics) in order to promote Immortal Technique.
Most of the mp3s (non-DRM'd) are in the forums. And he was once asked if he minded people bootlegging his albums. He said no.
Fuck a record deal, I want development land With my benevolent clan And that's the reason that I only trust my fam 40,000 records sold, 400 grand Fuck a middle man, I won't pay anyone else I'll bootleg it and sell it to the streets my self
Ah yes, the benefits of living in a country dominated by English and Spanish is that T9 is available in both English and Spanish :D
But even if I wanted to send one in japanese, I couldn't since the carrier itself doesn't support japanese characters -_-;
Well, like the saying goes, 'to each their own'

Kindly leave my Savior out of your argument.
You're kinda giving him a bad name, dude.

Don't you mean "Live Action Hentai"?
uhm....
about that...

But what would you rather have?
A drap old paper weight or a nice shiny paper weight that looks better than anything else in the room?
I mean, if it's gonna stop working, I want to at least get a little more usage out of something so shiny.
That's odd.
I always thought Apple zealots were willing to work for free..
That's like saying you should be able to assemble a car before you can drive
It would certainly cut down on the number of accidents...
Oh yes, and we all know how effective Uncle Sam is in the real world at preventing 13yrlds with bad parents from becoming pregnant...

Simple.
He can talk the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk.
I mean, he's still wearing glasses.
How am I supposed to trust a guy that obviously hasn't gone through the procedure himself?
Dude, people like shiny things...

I'll second that. I know it's not appropriate for a guy to say this, but I like pink.
I won't wear it but seeing slashdot dressed in it has a odd calming sensation to it...

The thought of rampant beastiality makes shivers of disgust run through my spine...

Like in Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children

Uhm... What about this guy?
The other option is to use Liquid Paper also known as White-Out.
That's how I learned back in middle school on Apple ][e's.
Nothing drained the idea of scraping it off faster than the threat of a three day suspension if even the _corner_ showed signs of scraping.
