Don't believe me? Just think back to math class and how much time people wasted messing around with their graphing calculators.. Imagine that multiplied by 100.

the 750 GB hd is really only about 700 GB due to the manufacturers counting 1,000 instead of 1,024..
Anyway, lets look at how much space that really is, and how easy it is to fill up.
DVD Movies range from 4gb to 9gb depending on film length and extras, lets settle on an easy middle number, 7GB average.
That is around 100 DVD's you could store on your hard drive (My room mate owns over 150 DVDs, so while it might be a large number to some, it is not so large to others)
That is not including TV series, if someone were to store 1 season of the show 24 on their media center pc it would take 45GB of space.
Also concider that HD movies are going to be around 30GB each

Video games are getting increasingly large, Recent games like
    The Godfather (4.5gb installed)
LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth II (5gb installed)
    TES: Oblivion (6.3gb installed)
    World of Warcraft (5.3gb installed)
Tomg Raider: Legends ( 7.3gb installed)
Games are only going to get larger too.

This is not even counting people who dabble with video editing or anything like that, work-wise that consumes monsterous ammounts of HD space..

  14. Truely Open Gameplay on The Oblivion of Western RPGs · · Score: 2, Insightful

Being able to do what you're "not supposed to do". Ever since the first TES game, Arena, I've loved this aspect and looked for it in other games.. If I wanted to, I could kill a guard and the game actually planned for that sort of thing.. I didn't instantly lose, the guard didn't kill me by looking at him, I was able to loot his body and the towns affection for me dropped... If I talked to a quest giver and realized that the quest was a sham (he was a guilty thief and was trying to frame someone else get me to kill them or something like that) I could kill him on the spot and achieve the goal without having to go through the story.. likewise I could kill a legitimate quest giver and never be able to recieve the award. I've often looked for that kind of aspect in all the games I play. I'll go to do something "I'm not supposed to" just because it seems like it would be fun, only to find that the developers had taken the extra step and planned for that sort of reaction and gave you a result you wern't expecting. Eastern RPGS don't have any room for that sort of open gameplay... you follow the story and if you don't then you're staring at a brick wall.

  15. A note to the theaters on Theaters Unhappy About Faster DVD Releases · · Score: 1

Theaters used to be a fuller more satisfying experience, but nowadays unless a theater is brand spanking new then it is likely that the audio equipment is 10+ years old. Not only does the audio equipment suffer from degredation but how old was the technology when they first purchased it? It is likely that many entertainment enthusiests have BETTER audio systems at their home (albeit smaller) that reproduce the sound much more acurately. How about the video also? This is the age of high def. I would rather watch a high def movie on a 50" screen than a regular def movie on a 200 foot projection.. If theaters want to attract people back then they need to do it with what they originally did it with.. by wowing the customers with technology that is not readily available in homes.. plus they need to make their popcorn and soda cheaper..

When people get together to watch a game they are always cheering booing, having fun, being noisy.. This is what you would find at a sports bar where it is acceptable.
I can't imagine this going over very well inside a theater where you are confined to your small seat.. the atmosphere is a lot different and I can see a lot of people getting annoyed at other people for being loud.

one of the best aspects of a new mmo is that it is new, not just new to me but new period. I'm starting out fresh just like the world is, just like everyone else.. The "level race" starts over, I have the option to be a pioneer in the game.
By simply moving a character from place to place this eliminates the fresh new feel of a new mmo.
