How long does your "hot-swappable battery" last in a PocketPC playing MP3's, especially off of a microdrive? Four, five hours, tops? The mini last for 10 hours if you believe what you (I?) read online... and if you have your PPC you get the PPC's battery life *after* that's over, whereas if you play MP3's on the PPC, that'd be it.
The only advantage would be saving space - even that's iffy. (If you don't need your PDA at all times, the mini is considerably smaller, not to mention probably cheaper if it gets lost)
You don't need to play sports to learn social skills.
Neither do you have to send them in with their "age group." Many smart kids are more sociable towards older people who understand what the kid is talking about.
In all honesty, here's what helped me the most: find a group of kids with similar interests and give them a big project they can work together on. For me, that was programming.

I'm still not sure what all this "google spam" I keep hearing about is. Google-bombs and (understandably) obscure searches excluded, I can *always* find what I typed into the search box and the "spam" remains off in its little boxes to the side.

....or just fall right in the middle, for people who want more than dialup but don't have use for 3mbps downstream, which is a LOT of the market. It's a low-end broadband (always-on, decent speed) for less money than most broadband.
Plus, I gather that it will be available just about anywhere you get power from Cinergy, which covers a lot of area that neither Zoomtown or Roadrunner reach.
