In the UK a large amount of the legal system is based off precedent - the government passes laws but the courts decide how they are going to interpret those laws. One judge's personal bias can modify the implementation of a particular law for years as judges are extremely loathe to contradict precedent.
It's safer for everyone to have them always on - more to record what the officer's doing than anything else. After all if the police have nothing to hide they have nothing to fear...
"Fukushima is a testament to the sad reality that stupid people will ignore safety protocols and keep an ageing reactor going for years after it should have been decomissioned because it's cheaper that way" - TFTFY.
I wouldn't have minded the re-use of zones so much if they had bothered to blank out the sections they weren't using on that run from the automap. That was the final straw for me - kind of a "See, we're not just re-using sections, we're going so far as to rub it in your face"
"DRM is intolerable to anyone with a brain."
Mass media is intolerable to anyone with a brain.
Taxation is intolerable to anyone with a brain.
Globalised farming is intolerable to anyone with a brain.
Fossil fuel use is intolerable to anyone with a brain.
Absolutist statements like yours sound all well and good, but just like the other examples I've just quoted DRM is a thing that people seem to be prepared to tolerate for the sake of an easy life. I'm really not a fan of DRM but it's a system that games manufacturers have developed in response to the evolutionary pressure of internet piracy. Until you provide a sufficient counterpressure it will continue to be their optimal strategy so I'd rather hear solutions than soundbytes if that's okay with you.
What a surprise. Start with the slam-dunk of getting them to ban CP (After all if you don't agree it should be banned you must be a pedo sympathiser) , then turn round and say "Well you can block that illegal content, what about this?"
What next, demand Google block sites of banned political parties? Disallow all dissenting opinions? Silence religions you don't like? This is why we shouldn't have allowed the thin end of the wedge in in the first place. Give centralised control an inch and it'll take a mile.
I believe the burnout rate is absolutely horrific and any officer who doesn't burn out in 2 years is then cycled into another department to avoid excessive desensitisation.
And 2 years down the line you're spending twice as much on maintenance of those printers cos' the refilled toners are destroying them. At least that's what's happened here.
"In case you didnt know, there are code-of-blue law enforcement exemptions for most laws that regular citizens would get shot for. This is bullsh1t".
TFTFY.

In a time of global recession M$ decided to release their new platform burdened to the hilt with DRM? Wow - that's not so much shooting yourself in the foot as sticking a live grenade into your boot. Sales of this are gonna tank and they're going to be forced into a Win8 style climbdown.
Also, what happens if the authentication servers go down? My old house the internet connection would drop to virtually useless for days at a time due to Virgin's shoddy infrastructure and the 360 was the only thing left to use. If it has to dial home every day then that's pretty damn useless.

And if we stop buying then you send over "advisors" to re-educate us back into proper capitalism, huh?
Seems like a bit of a Hatchette job to me...
The company has the drivers name and address. If there are any issues with the driver they won't get away with it.

Ping both cars and head for the one with most insurance...
One question - how do you bump start a keyless ignition? If the battery's that low the whole circuit's probably gonna be dead.
All of them. Numerous embedded systems are built around IE for UK government - I know this for a fact as I'm working for them at the moment.

You should have discussed being passed over for promotion with your union rep - you'd have had a pretty strong case.

And the developer's wife should leave him and take him to the cleaners in the divorce courts.
Wait... what were we talking about again?

You can if you're a coprophage, which is most people's opinion of lawyers...

Isn't the next line "And I strongly urge you to exercise that right, pal..."?

You'll probably find that just knowing some of those laws violates another law...
