You incorrectly attrribute the creation of the transistor radio to Sony, and I quote:
There are numerous claimants to the title of the first company to produce practical transistor radios, often incorrectly attributed to Sony (originally Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo). Texas Instruments had demonstrated all-transistor AM (amplitude modulation) radios as early as 1952, but their performance was well below that of equivalent vacuum tube models. A workable all-transistor radio was demonstrated in August 1953 at the Düsseldorf Radio Fair by the German firm Intermetall. It was built with four of Intermetall's hand-made transistors, based upon the 1948 invention of Herbert Mataré and Heinrich Welker. However, as with the early Texas units (and others) only prototypes were ever built; it was never put into commercial production.
Have babies been granted rights, or do you think they have rights? Therein lies a difference. On way or another, there's always the problem of who you give rights. Say, for instance, an chimp is more intelligent than a baby? But what about a baby chimp? And why don't fish have rights?
In my opinion everything with a ratio should have rights. We've long been thinking of ourselves as the animal rationale (Scala Rerum?) and therefore we should have rights. Can a chimp think "I think therefore I exist"? I don't know. But the difficult difficulty is determining who or what should have rights. Let's say, perhaps, we give all animals rights (including bacteria)!;-)
What's it with these glossy displays lately? I'm sure contrast improves, but it looks like a mirror.
Especially with a mobile device like this one it'll be quite annoying to use it outside.
Just my two cents...
Although I'm not suprised by this at all, it sounds pretty much 1984 to me. I wonder how long China can continue to do this before a vast majority of its people stand up and start protesting. Also, I'm wondering how many Chinese are aware of these Stasi practices...
Some years ago I made a mistake with connecting an old AT power supply. So when I plugged the plug in the socket it banged. But I had not only blown up the fuse of my classroom (it was at school), I had blown up the fuse of the whole financial administration AND the one of the directors office etc. (propably they had misconnected something there, like i did:P)
I think the MS staff should be arrested for cyberterrorism... They just open the gates for stuff like this. Without all those security holes in MS their software this wouldn't have happened.
If Windowsusers just start working under useraccounts with limited rights most virusses won't do any harm because they need admin rights... But 99% of the Windowsusers I know use an account with admin rights...
Even better would be not to use Windows at all..

The bottom line is that you can't disable your knowledge. So forcing yourself to be a beginner again isn't so easy.
1. Extract Carbon from the Air. 2. Sell extracted carbon as combustible fuel 3. ????? 4. Profit 5. Return to Step 1 there, fixed it for you

Isn't this a little strange? For having rights one should be able to lay a claim to this right. As far as I know, a chimp can't.

I'm wondering what will happen next summer, problems will get even worse.
I propose government funding for beer. :-)
I think I see Outlook Express running here: http://www.road-gmbh.de/grafik/foto_pro_s101_02.jp g
On Windows 9x...strange ;-)
Its price is way to high...in my opinion. I'd rather build a pc myself (with ultra silent cooling etc.) than buying this expensive crap...
Hehe, we invented the compact disc :P
"97. Netherlander" Those bastards misspell my nationality. It's either Nederlands or Dutch...

Why would I use Internet Explorer anyway? In my opinion everbody should use Firebird or Konqueror...=)
Ok. You're right. But how do people who can't read know at who they're voting? :P
In the Netherland we already do it for years.. What's so new about this?

I want to play Xbox games @ my Palm m100. Would it be possible? =)
Uhmm, I don't really think Steve Ballmer is a reliable source... :P
Yes, I'd like to see KDE3.2 too... Why is it taking so long? It's here now for centuries...:P
Much spam is made also by virusses...
I would like to know how much spam is coming from Windows users...:P
Those bitches really think they invented the virtual desktop...hehe..:P It wouldn't suprise if they try to patent the command line...
I'd like to patent atoms... I'm sure I'd get a lot of royalties...:D
