The poster is trying to conflate the Amazon Google battle with net neutrality in an attempt to cast them as hypocrites. I wonder did AT&T/Verizon lobby arm create this post?
This has nothing at all to do with net neutrality. What this is about is Amazon's starting a war with Google by blocking the sale of Google's products in favor of their own products and as a result Google has responded in kind after two years of doing nothing. I remember two years ago when Amazon pulled Google Chromcast from their store and blocked 3rd party vendors from selling it when they came out with their own fire stick. They have that right of course. Google did nothing for two years. Now amazon is blocking the sale of more Google products and it seems Google has had enough and decided to take drastic measures. This is an attempt to create a false equivalency between the two in which there is none. Amazon is clearly the bad actor here.
FTL travel is within the realm of the laws of physics. There may even be creatures that have mastered FTL travel. I just don't think any of them have ever visited us. Nature is most likely universal so if we were visited by what would obviously be being way more advanced creatures than us then it would be obvious to us that we had visitors. My hypothesis is that they would simply clear land and setup shop while totally ignoring us. Just as we do to other lesser creatures in the forest when we want to setup shop. I think we would simply be insignificant to them as forest dwelling creatures are insignificant to us.
Does life exist elsewhere? most likely
Does intelligent life exist elsewhere? Most likely
due to the countless amount of stars and planets and galaxies the above is most likely
Have we been visited by any of them? not likely.
why? because it would be obvious. If humans travelled to a planet with less intelligent creatures would it not be obvious to them that we have arrived? so why are we so arrogant to believe that other creatures would go out of their way to remain elusive to us upon coming to earth?. Did Columbus try to remain elusive to the Indians? If we landed on another planet populated by...let say monkeys for instance would we go out of our way to hide from them or would we just clear land and setup shop? So to me the answer is no. we have not been visited by any more advanced creature otherwise it would be blatantly obvious. They would just simply clear land and setup shop most likely ignoring us like we ignore creatures living in the forest when we decide to setup a new subdivision or shopping complex. We simply clear land and setup shop.
Amazon blocked Google devices first. The banned selling Google devices on their store when they came out with their own fire stick. Google is simply fighting back.
this has nothing to do with Android fork. did you even RTFA??? This is Amazon block the sale of google products and refusing to support google cast services and so Google is retaliating. Plain and simple.
THIS!! Amazon started this spat by dropping Chromecast devices from their store and refusing to support Chromecast in their App and making it difficult to get Amazon Prime Video on android devices. I had to install Amazon's app store in order to install Amazon Prime video. In order to watch Amazon Prime Video on my chromecast i have to mirror the screen of my device to the Chromecast. Obviously not the ideal solution but works well. Fuck Amazon...because of their hostility towards Chromecast I have stopped recommending Firestick to people.
if you think that casinos allow people to come into them armed with illegal machine guns you are a moron. Also the machine gun the guy used is likely illegal so the guy already broke current gun laws. So what gun law you think this guy would have obeyed? Current reports are that the shooter rented a room in the hotel and sneaked the guns into the room in a golf bag. Obviously you haven't been following the reports.
If he takes steps to prevent acts like this he angers his base (even though we sorely need some practical gun control),
what gun control that you are advocating for would have stopped this particular incident? The guy had a machine gun. Machine guns are banned i.e. illegal. We don't know where the gun was obtained and in this case it doesn't matter because the machine gun in and of itself was illegal. It is not legal to transfer a machine gun anywhere, gun show or not. Obviously this guy does not obey gun laws. I honestly would like to hear your suggestion on what "practical" gun control would have stopped this situation.
for those of us actually out in the field doing the hard work of switching small businesses to Linux that statement is rarely true. Quickbooks unfortunately doesn't run on Linux and when you setup a samba server it does not work with more than one user. I'm afraid I have to inform you that many many small businesses probably the majority cannot use Linux on the desktop if they need Quickbooks and unfortunately, at least here in the USA most of them use Quickbooks.
exactly and we know this buffoon doesn't read anything he signs.

I agree...you probably should not have posted anything. You have contributed nothing to the conversation.

Blame Amazon. They are the one that started blocking competitors services and devices. So now others are responding to Amazon in-kind.

Amazon started this bullshit. Bitch at Amazon.

lets deflect from the issue at hand by using false equivalence, do you work for the Internet Research Agency? geez
that is if the Gnome folks accepted any patches from outside. the freedesktop.org people are notoriously difficult to work with.
your non-rebuttal is strait out of the allies of right-wing propoganda. Try harder.
brainwash alert!!! you mentioned the "deep state" buzzword. hahaha

I said it was illegal to transfer machine guns. it is illegal to posses a machine gun manufactured after 1986 therefore they are effectively banned.

Also.. Trump is fucking moron.
and.... he links to Washington Times. a known propaganda outlet. smdh. Definitely illuminates the state of mind of this viewer
well you got the cheap stream with commercials. $4 more and you get no commercials.
episode 1 was clumsy. Ep2 was actually good. seems like the acting got better to me in Ep2 and it was less clumsy.

That person should be ashamed of themselves, and should be very worried when their phone next rings.
Can this guy be any more of a shill for Apple?
see here
we're still stuck with Miller and Gorka
What did this specific news outlet do wrong? All the did was quote him exactly? Should they have made fake news by changing his words?
