Not to mention that letting survival of the fittest fleece the fools from their money has a nasty side effect of enriching the bad guys in the process.
If it was really a Stupid "Tax" then it should go into the hands of the government, preferably to invest in cyber education.
Wow. You just made a recursive statement here.
a Stupid "Tax"... should go into the hand of government (and) their money has a nasty side effect of enriching the bad guys in the process.
As much as I want AMD to succeed (competition is beneficial), any Dell computer that had an AMD chip in it pretty much bombed like their current breed of bad capacitors.
Well, I think that's why the TEA parties have risen so fast. Besides being "taxed enough already", they're tired of government spending. A lot of trending has been to toss everyone out and get a new set of D's and R's in there... hopefully a set of D's that aren't so socialistic and a bunch of R's that aren't so spend hungry.
The color of his skin has NOTHING to do with why Republicans are upset with him. His out of control taxing and spending, overthrow of private businesses (GM bailout), massive expansion of government, mishandling of international politics (his world-wide apology tour and general display of disdain to US allies), mishandling of domestic emergencies (oil spill), and selective judiciary (i.e. attacking AZ for attempting to follow Federal law by making it a State law and not equally attacking "sanctuary cities" for blatantly breaking Federal law.)
No, color has nothing to do with it. His political views and direction have everything to do with it. If it were Hillary in there doing the same thing, Rahm Emanuel, whomever, the Republicans would still be stomping mad about it.
Yet, you would trust Obama to run this government? What has he accomplished besides getting elected? He voted present! And he has his fair share of backroom deals with banks and "Free Home Improvements".
Actually, what Bush 43 did was what gave rise to the TEA party. Bush 41 was a one term president because of what he did. ("Read my lips, no new taxes.") You may have a point about Reagan EXCEPT that he dropped taxes and spent more.... because he had more to spend. It turns out, lower taxes encourages private sector growth. Private sector growth means more revenue being taxed. More revenue being taxed means more tax money being brought in.
Of course, there is a point where dropping taxes too much will result in lower tax monies. I guess the Democrats believe we are at that point and Republicans believe we are above that point.
Republicans realize the bills need to be paid (our recent representatives may not realize that), but we disagree that raising taxes is the answer but a detriment. Also, what the Democrats are currently doing is certainly not fiscally responsible (2.5 years of unemployment benefits and not using the money from the slush fund they've created which also has no answer on repayment, a health bill that does not make financial sense, a bailout of the auto industry which may not be paid back, and, now, more regulation on Wall Street... what was wrong with the old regulation - except that the regulators didn't do their jobs.)
but at least they have a little respect for not pissing it's costumers off.
Actually, they may be pissing off their customers. However, they are keeping their users happy. (Because without the user, they won't have the customer.)
Chalk me up as another single player. I do play multiplayer on occasion, but only when I have friends on (it's the only reason I play WoW, and they buy my cards:)
Anyway, I've been working my way through The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion again.
Actually, the TEA parties and the Daily KOS prove that people in the US are free to express themselves anyway they want. Corporations still have to sue those that they think are defaming them... that is, they can't automatically jail that person or group.
Stating that the US has the worst education is incredibly wrong. It may not be the best, but look around, visit the world, where are many of the worlds innovations made? Right here in the US. Stating that we have the worst medical care is completely wrong. The medical care that the US population enjoys is completely top-notch. You may disagree with the methods of compensation for that medical care, but the care is received quickly and is the best anywhere. I don't know about retirement policies. Personally, what I save is what I use should I not die before I stop working. Should I be so dependent upon some organization to pay me for non-work? Only if I can create a sweet contract for myself.
But Oh My! We can post whatever we want on Slashdot...That proves we are free! Well, yes, actually. Your name won't be discovered. Your IP address, while recorded, won't be used to track you down. You'll not end up in some forgotten prison as a political prisoner for posting inanity. And you'll be able to defend your right to post whatever crap against whatever company you want.
No, I do believe that your cable/dish/whatever bill does pay for FoxNews if it is in your lineup (along with ad revenue, but the subscriber doesn't pay cash for that). It's funny, for everyone who rails on the guy for being conservative, he also owns the Fox network; which, for one example, runs the Simpsons - a fairly liberally minded social commentary show.
The micro-payment and upgrade issue is why add-on and expansion packs are made. Many games make excellent use of this practice. If, however, I purchase the latest Elder Scrolls:Oblivion game and it contained all but 2 necessary cities and 4 oblivion portals, I would be ticked off. I just spent $40 on a game and now you want me to hand over another $20 for the extra content just so I can open the final few bosses?
Of course, I am the type of person that waits until all expansion packs are released and the game is sold as a bundle, which is generally the same price or cheaper than when the game first came out. Which is also the reason that Valve's deals are a major drain on my wallet. (I get 9 games for $80! Count me in!! -wife: But you already have 3 of them...)
It's interesting that you say FoxNews is biased, but do not throw the other media outlets into the same mix. I agree FoxNews has bias in their opinion shows that is more right of center than all other so-called news outlets. The other news outlets are biased left to very far left. It may not be seen in the stories so easily, but it can be seen in the stories they choose to or not to air, print, and publish.
The Democrat party depends on a group of deeply delusional voters known as the Poor. That's why, in the 21st Century, there are elected officials pretending to be concerned about the inner-city degradation, pretending that illegal immigration is a pathway to citizenship, and pretending that an unborn child is not living and does not deserve the right to live.
The Republican party has it's fair share of hypocrites, but only on party demands delusion as party of their party platform. They are still demanding that wealth must be redistributed by force (IRS and tax code). Their next sentence could be about the great rich nation we live in and that it is a shame that a person who does not work should receive the same benefits as someone who does work.
They may have a lower viewership, but MSNBC have to compete with ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Comedy Central, and most newspapers. In other words, what is termed the Mainstream Media. Foxnews has a large viewership because many conservatives and independents feel they cannot get a conservative viewpoint anywhere else but from one TV station and talk radio.
So, you are saying that when Obama's administration (government) took over GM and said to all the investors to jump in a lake, that is not socialism, but conservatism? I'd give many, many more examples, but "Given Truth, the Misinformed Believe Lies More".
Not necessarily true. But the parent has to be strong and forceful and it can be accomplished. However, generally you are correct. Even Mitt Romney had to move his kids to a private school to avoid having their son berated by a man-hater teacher. (Principal could do nothing, teacher was seniority, sadly, not everyone can easily move a child to private school or home school.)
Just like a lock would not deter a burglar, it just makes it harder for the bad guy to do something bad to you. (i.e. revealing a real name makes the process extremely easy to track someone down and make life miserable for that person.)
Unfortunately, I think most corporate or developer sponsored forums tend to devolve into uselessness for the reason you've stated. Someone gets a thorn stuck up a dark place and people start getting banned for trivial reasons. This causes a fallout that can be difficult to stop. Many a game have lost its popularity because of this and throwing C&D letters out to fan sites like there's no tomorrow.
I'm not so sure. I have a FB account, but I check it once every 2-3 weeks or more. How many WoW players also fully and actively use FB? (probably a lot and my argument is not that good.)
That link is classic. It's too bad it's not on the blizzard official forum. However, if it was, it would have been deleted forthwith. I'm sure Blizzard is fully aware of the gameriot thread by now, though.
EPIC FAIL on Blizzard's part (I wonder how much of a decision this was of Blizzard or Activision). There are some really psycho people on WoW. I'd hate for someone to get hurt because of this issue.
Not to mention that letting survival of the fittest fleece the fools from their money has a nasty side effect of enriching the bad guys in the process.

Let's follow this...
And if you don't believe me, just look at how pathetic Detroit is. In Detroit, the Democrats and their liberal policies have driven that once great city into the ground. http://www.newsrealblog.com/2010/01/03/49-years-of-leftist-policies-detroit-in-ruins/
The Republican party has it's fair share of hypocrites, but only on party demands delusion as party of their party platform. Foxnews has a large viewership because many conservatives and independents feel they cannot get a conservative viewpoint anywhere else but from one TV station and talk radio.
That's okay, because it's all Bush's fault anyway.
So, you are saying that when Obama's administration (government) took over GM and said to all the investors to jump in a lake, that is not socialism, but conservatism? I'd give many, many more examples, but "Given Truth, the Misinformed Believe Lies More".
Who said Bush was a conservative? Republican, yes, but conservative? No
Umm... no, he's accusing the Z-man of having a shady past (skeletons in his closet) that the he would not want becoming public knowledge.
Not necessarily true. But the parent has to be strong and forceful and it can be accomplished. However, generally you are correct. Not that I'm doubting, I just want to see this article. Source?
What 12-14 year old do you know that does not know how to not act like an idiot?
