The Animaniacs clip with Constantinople and Particle Man always get take down notices when posted on Youtube. I can't find them. It really is a loss to entertainment's posterity - what with all these protection of creations. Let the stuff ride, if not for free, then charge us something reasonable!

It is interesting, there may be a whole new generation that listens to TMBG and not even realize it. I instantly recognized the sound of the Johns in Coraline (Other Father Song), and they do the intro for Malcolm in the Middle and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Gah! If Apple were to become the dominant player, I'd wretch. As it is, I don't think Apple will jump into the movie streaming business. At least not yet. Amazon is, however, making great strides. They have both a dedicated player (Kindle Fire, et al) and the "cloud" to handle the streaming content. What Amazon and most of the other providers lack is the amount of content, which Netflix still has the advantage.

Those were the most recent purchases I made to upgrade an old 1800's house where the owner preferred no holes to be drilled to run wire. I believe I left a wrt54gn on the third floor for a multifunction printer that could not utilize a wireless device. Both routers were equipped with dd-wrt. The Encore adapters work very nicely.

The one thing the freemium games have is that the payments are low, not even noticeable, to the user. $0.50 here, $1.00 there. Buy a card for $10.00, we'll give you 2.5 times the points for double the money. The kicker is that "everyone" has to have the best now! I want it now... I don't want to grind my way through 50,000 points in three weeks, I'll buy those points in a few minutes. And I'm done. Then, before I know it, I'm down $100 to a game that I wouldn't have spent $20.00 on in a box.

Of course, if you realize what is going on, enjoy the game and suffer the grind, you eventually get it. Like life - even with talent, you still have to work at it. And it's going to take time.

No, these companies make nothing off me. I'm a drain on their resources. But, if a game is good enough. If I have really enjoyed it - I'll lay down some cash - they deserve the earnings. However, I watch my payments and I don't overspend.

Sidebar: Of all the free to play games I've played, I've laid down $10.00. It was worth it.

What a horrendously ignorant thing to say. A "Mormon" is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some might cite that the theology of mormonism, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are 3 separate beings, the first two with flesh and blood, but all members of one Godhead differs from the idea of the Trinity put forth by a council in Nicaea several hundred years after the death of Christ (and certainly not what the early Christians believed as proven by countless religious historians).

That pastor Jeffress was on the air today or yesterday claiming that Mormons are not Christians because they don't believe the same historically taught Christ as the other Protestant churches teach. That argument has all sorts of fallacy in it. (Why are the Protestant teachings any better than the Catholic teachings which came before them?)

The strange thing about tax equality, is that when it does come about, the middle and low income earners are going to be paying more taxes. They almost pay nothing now (not including sales taxes and similar). I consider myself a middle class income earner and I get almost 100% of my income tax back due to credits for school/house loan interest, children, and charitable contributions (mine are over 10% of income).

If this group of protesters are engaged in trying to drive up taxes on the wealthy, what good is it going to do to take money from fat cat business people who actually do or enable things to get done and sending it to the fat cat politicians where the money gets lost in bureaucracy and waste? Truly, there needs to be better parity between the Carly Fiorina's of the world that get their $42 million golden parachutes and the low and middle income workers that have just as much sweat equity as the upper management has financial equity in a business. Granted, the workers, if laid off, will get a month or two of severance (if they're lucky)... but that's nowhere near a retirement enabling $12 million that Mark Hurd walked off with when he was "fired".

Certainly, unions help in this type of situation. But as we have seen, the union's have their fat cats and become a cancer to the business.

God made the laws and He follows them, else He would cease to be God.)

In any case, if you've listened to The Mesopotamians, one could gather a political slant to their music. The song "I'm Impressed" is a great song, but I can't help that it has an anti-G.W.Bush, anti US in Iraq war feel to it. Whether you agree or disagree with the sentiment is immaterial as the slant, as I perceive it, is there. I suppose you could argue my view of the song is caused by my particular prejudice on the topic.

Still with weather and climate, past events aren't necessarily predictors of future events. I mean, heck, we're still quite a bit warmer from the ice age! This guy's data and conclusions should be vetted properly to ensure the scientific method has been followed properly, calculations done correctly, etc. Does it mean we have to get political? No.

Why is the global warming issue political? It is because those who would claim humans are causing the warming are really just trying to get the United States to pay for everyone else's dirty mess (yes, I'm using hyperbole). "B-b-but the US is the worst polluter!" one might say. Another might posit, "B-b-but the US uses more energy than anyone else!" That may be true, China is trying to beat us in those areas, too. But they aren't regulating their industries nearly as heavy as the US and other 1st world nations are regulating their industries. And that is why GW is a political football - it's all about the money and power (on both sides of the issue).
