Danger from laser printers?

Killer Ozone?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't laser printers emit a some amount of O3 when charging the paper to make toner stick? Assuming they do, does this mean it may be bad to have all that O3 contained within a room? (And having the source so close to the user can't help either)
This page (dunno if their data is accurate) says "Concentrations of ozone in a room where laser printers are being used can exceed the currently regulated standard for ozone in the outdoor air."
I wonder if this could be applied to use as an allergen detector for people with food allergies. As a person with peanut and nut allergies, it would be quite handy.
I don't even own an xbox, a friend of mine does, he had to use a joystick emulator to get the controller to work properly. (it wasn't recognized as a gamepad for somereason) the emulator also allowed him to easily map keys to controller buttons.
"The United States is not a democracy. There isn't a democratic nation on the face of the earth. In a true democracy, citizens vote on everything and the majority rules. We have a representative republic. We vote for the representatives who write and vote on the enactment of laws and regulations. For a nation of this size to be a true democracy, the citizens would have to spend so much time voting on everything that there would be no time to get anything done. Additionally, the majority does not rule in the United States. If the majority ruled, Al Gore would be president, instead, we have the electoral college that actually elects the president."
RePlayTV anyone? Personally I have a RePlayTV unit and prefer it over Tivo. While I've never spent time with a Tivo, I've heard they try to think and guess what their owner wants to watch and then goes about recording things it picks. I don't know if that's true or not. Tivo users can you inform me please? RePlayTV records only what you tell it to. And it can stream over a network to a PC. (DVArchive anyone?) Maybe the new generation Tivos can do this too, I haven't looked into it.
I believe he has specifically mentioned putting a sunset provision on it, so a few years down the road it will expire unless it's reinstated by congress.
It's free too!
Check these shredders out.

The folks at Rice University did this first. (2-Sep-2004)

Huh, guess there's a downside to faster printing.
I wonder though, why would anyone want to switch to a google branded version of Firefox? There is already a toolbar for firefox that searches google.

Looks like a Jem'hedar viewscreen kinda.
NASA's NEO (Near Earth Object) program tracks many different objects, though I wish they had a bigger budget, then they could handle even more.
there are good drivers out there.
The best one being XBCD

For those who aren't familiar with an "Onos", it is a rather large rhinoceros-like creature from the HL1 mod natural selection.

How I wish the US presidency was determined by popular vote and not some archaic electoral system.
Sounds similar to Spotlight, the file searching system in OSX Tiger.
All glory to the hypnotoad O_o
On a somewhat serious note, the prospect of a Matrioshka Brain is interesting, yet somewhat frightening.

And the link to MacroMaker: MacroMaker
And sorry not to set my post above to display html, here's: the ThinkGeek link.
If it's the Belkin Nostromo pad, our friends ata ker.htm">MacroMaker</a> it can do anything. (Well almost anything, dynamic things are another story.) I use it for everything: Games (FPS mostly), CAD (2d/3d), and any other program that has many functions tied to keystrokes. The software it comes with even can associate specific layouts with different programs. (Ex. If you start a game, it automatically loads the function layout associated with the game.) </sales pitch>I love mine, I just wish the buttons were a bit more sensitive (they have to be pressed absolutely all the way down to register.) If only there were OSS drivers for it. (The OEM ones work fine for windows/mac, but some linux drivers would be nice.)
I have one and love it. <sales pitch> It comes with software that allows any key/mouse button to be mapped to any key/gamepad direction/mousewheel function on the pad. It even allows keyboard/mouse macros to be mapped to any key. Combined with <a href="http://members.ij.net/anthonymathews/MacroM
