  2. off topic on Wireless Networking Speeds of 540 Mbps w/ 802.11n · · Score: 1

I always wondered why, other than to discourage serving of anything off cable, why they give such a low upstream. The limit for a coax cable with the current technology is approx. 38 mb/s down, and 10 mb/s up. That is almost a 4:1 ratio, why is your speed not the same. Your getting about a 24:1 ratio on your upstream(assuming 256kbit, which is what it is here). That is an insane ratio. I don't really know how much of a headache it would be for the cable companies to open up the upstream a little, even 1 mbit would be sufficient. With 38 mb of band and 7 users using all of their bandwidth at once you've oversold the line by 4 mbit. But those same users only consume 1.7 mbit out of 10. That is 110% overutilization of the downstream and 17% utilization of the upstream, where is all this excess upstream usage going?

EEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTTT!!!! Wrong The A/C compressor has this thing called a clutch that while the A/C is off the pulley spins freely with no load other than its own weight. When you turn on the air the clutch enguages and voila nice cold air.

  7. Re:/.ed on Utah Teens Invent Better Air Conditioner · · Score: 2, Interesting

However unlikely it sounds this would save gas. It takes a lot of engine power to run the compressor for the A/C. Don't you notice how your engine bogs down when you turn the A/C on? You have to apply more throttle when the A/C is on to produce the same amount of acceleration or hold a speed than when it isn't on, thus you burn more gas. However the alternator on a car takes significantly less of the engines power, most people when driving don't even notice when the alternator kicks on, so the system can be massively inefficient but still save on fuel simply because it is taking electrical power instead of mechanical power directly from the engine.

yea I got bored okay, but yes it is a mini-game, you have to push up and down in rhythm with CJ's strokes to fill up the excitement meter, and you can change positions which include; missionary, some weird position, and doggy. You can also change the views. Aside from that it is only interesting/funny for mabye the first time, then it is just annoying because normally when you complete a date and she asks you if you want coffee, your progress goes up none the less, but with the mod if you let the excitement meter go all the way down, it tells you that it is a crime to not please a woman and you progress goes down. Also there is no variety in what happens, you go inside she is naked and you are clothed, she goes down on you for like 10 seconds and then the minigame starts, the claims of pornographic are greatly, greatly exagerrated. The only thing even remotely pornographic besided the movements is you see her tits occasionally, and the dialog during the mini-game is as dull and funny as the dialog in a cheesy porno movie. So don't really waste your time or bandwidth to download the movie of it or even enter the codes to see it, not worth it.
