Yeah but did you see this coming?! (Makes punching and/or aggressive body sway movement)
I was accused of hacking where I work. They decided to take away my internet access and the method for removing my internet access? Deleting the internet explorer shortcut (the head of IT did this). So, by running iexplore from the start menu run command - I was hacking and my boss pulled me aside to "have a talk" with me.
So yes, reading somebody else's email using a password in a little black book next to the computer is cyber warfare. This guy is elite.
I agree, I paid around $40 to allofmp3.com when it was near the end because it was easy to use and download music in the format I wanted and the music was very reasonably priced. I buy maybe 1 cd a year and tend to not bother with online digital music stores unless i get some sort of discount towards my purchase.
I think my tubes are younger because my internets come through pretty fast. I'm in the LA area on Time Warner paying for "Turbo" which last time I spoke to a CSR was 15Mbit with "Turbo Boost" which is market speak for "Look at the 15 pieces of flare! You want at least 15 pieces of flare!". Speedtest is a liar and will consistently give me inconsistent results of between 15 and 25Mbit. I typically get 1.8MB/s down when I'm doing heavy downloading which is 14.5Mbits so with overhead we're looking pretty spot on. I *might* get some sort of turbo boost when I'm loading my email, it's hard to tell since it's web based but it's wicked fast.
I think you're confusing flat screen CRT's which were the non-curved ones (much nicer than regular crt monitors/tvs!) with flat panel which is LCD, Plasma, etc.

Sometime around 2000/2001 is when ticket prices started jumping and I stopped going to the theater. The only reason I go now? 2 for 1 tickets through my credit card and even then I'm not sure it's worth it. I'm paying about $11 to $12 by buying the tickets online to get this "deal" otherwise the price of the tickets would be $22 plus paper/ink costs. I remember going to see the movies in LA back around 2001 and paying $8/ticket and thinking to myself what a fucking rip Los Angeles was.
Now It's $10 - $11 everywhere around here (Orange County, CA / Los Angeles, CA). Why pay for overpriced tickets with yelling kids when I can BUY the movie for less? I can have a couple friends over, pop the movie in my dvd player/bluray player and watch it on my 46" lcd tv with a gin & tonic in one hand and tasty pizza in the other while sitting in a reclining couch.
If they dropped the price of movie tickets I'm sure you'd see an increase in ticket sales and a higher profit due to the volume of movie goers. More people in the theater = more profit for theaters as well due to concession sales which are way overfucking priced too. Seriously? $4 - $5 for a large soda? That's like three 2 liter bottles WITH CRV (what a rip that is). Man... who's the pirate now? Hollywood = butt pirates trying to rape everyone.
It gives you a rough idea of where the Wii is in comparison to current gen game system consoles. While living room consoles give it a 50% market share on this site, adding the handheld market brings that down quite a bit. As it only lists current gen, it doesn't show the PS2 which is still selling quite well.
On the other hand - Microsoft is coming out with the Natal motion system and I wouldn't be surprised if the PS3 had something in the works too (does it??).
And like somebody else said - you're forgetting the PC gaming market as well. Not a lot of motion controlled gaming in that area.
Using figures from Symantec's 2007 study on the prices that these credentials can fetch at e-crime bazaars, the researchers estimate that a single cyber crook using one of these kits could make a tidy daily income.
So, in other words: Using sophisticated number crunching techniques, researchers have concluded that cyber criminals will make a lot of money.
I just bought an 8600GT for my desktop rig as a temporary card for now - you know until my wife says I can spend more money.
Now whenever I play HL2 it freezes up and dies and it was working just fine the day before. Is there a program you can use to test the video card? I haven't seen anything like that mentioned yet. Are we talking complete and utter failure of the card where it doesn't output video at all or just with the 3D?
I don't remember the name of the company but about 8 or 9 years ago I was offered an Intel webcam and a subscription to I believe it was Popular Mechanics if I would once a month use the webcam to scan a specially encoded picture/barcode on some of the magazine pages and give my feedback.
I told them it pretty much sucked and was a waste of time since the webcam was connected with a 6 foot cable and I have internet access. Why the hell would I want to hold up a magazine to scan the barcode image so that a website pops up telling me about it when I can just type the damn thing into a search engine myself?
They stopped asking for my opinion after a couple months although I was supposed to keep giving them for 12 months total. Using a cellphone camera makes a hell of a lot more sense since it's portable. Hmm - did a web search and came up with this site (sounds like it might be the same company) - http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7261612.html . Looks like they may have come up with some more useful applications for the technology.
I haven't seen a Packard-Bell machine in a very long time. I didn't even know they were still in business. I did however pick up a Gateway laptop last year around this time from Best Buy. They had a $100 off coupon that regular customers aren't really supposed to know about and it was on sale with no rebates and came with some discounts on bundle items.
All in all I like the laptop - I did upgrade the slow 4200 rpm hard drive (who uses 4200rpm drives anymore?!) with a 5400rpm one and upgraded the memory from 512 to 1GB. It runs great now for all home/office type stuff and watching movies. It's not a gaming machine and actually runs hotter than my new gaming laptop when doing regular browsing/office work but it works good.
I think it came with a 1 year warranty.. kinda curious how that's going to work out now as I might still have a month or two left.
You can also download some of the sample uploaded vids, but some are VERY weird.. probably nsfw.. you have been warned! http://video01.thevideobay.org/vids/38.flv (replace "38" with any number)
All I can say to that link is.. tiamostyle!
BTW they like to be called Little People you insensitive clods!
The use of grunting and making emotional outburst sounds should only be used in games with the rating of XXX.
I own Zelda Twilight Princess for the Wii and this is really the first Zelda game I've owned in the 3D format (last game I owned was Zelda on the NES).
I think it'd be better to not have any sounds at all when interracting with other characters other than maybe the sound of the text on the screen (you know the typewriter sound characters make when they talk to you sometimes). I find it to be distracting and annoying - I believe Mario in Super Paper Mario for the Wii makes similar noises which take away the feel of the old school Super Mario Bros platformer.
I'm more a fan of action games anyways - if the Zelda series had an action oriented game for current gen systems I might check it out but I stopped playing Twilight Princess after a couple hours as I got sick of the linear rpg elements, tedious conversations and sexual grunting noises - I can make those myself.. alone in my basement:(.
Look, I like reading/. for the tech/science news. It's a very valuable tool for that. But, honestly, when every other article is another Vista-bashing FUD extravanza, this site really loses its respectability.
This site is respectable? Screw you guys, I'm outta here! Me AND my bad karma!
I have to agree on this -
I've played Wii Sports, Rayman Raving Rabbids, the Monkey Ball game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Zelda, and Rampage so far. I've never once gotten close to throwing the remote (except when I was drunk and getting pissed at the damn pig race in rayman lol) but that was me wanting to throw it at the tv on purpose. Rayman gets me working up a sweat on some of the mini games - it's like doing a drum solo on some of them and I'm sure I didn't have to work that hard though. Anyways - besides me wanting to throw the remote out of frustration and my g/f hitting the wall (behind her while she was holding the remote) there's been no chance of the remote slipping out of my hand and definately no straps breaking.
There was a video on youtube where some guy was playing tennis or something and threw the remote onto the ground on a downswing - he was waving it way too hard and looked like a complete tard. Personally I think it was staged - why the hell were they recording him playing the wii right when he broke the remote? Kinda lame imo.
Is this spy-speak for russian attack sattelite?

Viva la revolucion!
I also have to ask - what's with the revolutions today? It's Friday. Monday is the day for revolutions.

I've been topping my tank off all day today! Topping on? It's topped!
Is it just me or does today's Google logo look more like somebody smeared shit on my google homepage and tossed in some chunks?
Oh, the logo is on the top left? Uh oh..
That's some pretty crappy grammar and I'm a drunk ass sonuvabitch.

Yo Grark
The select was for 2 player mode otherwise it was just B, A, start. I always made my brother play so I remembered the select!
