I think that when more people realise just how little they are getting in return for their hard-earned cash when they buy an album, sales may fall further.
"I have a whole load of restrictions on how I may use the content, but BigMusicCorp get to do whatever they like with my money? Stuff that for a deal!"
Not even close to the speed of the x-15. I don't think that SS1 goes much over mach3 ( vertical, granted ). Okay, so by mach 3 I mean 2000mph, don't start the IAS argument.

Why do I overanalyse films? Because I am hoping to see the film that has been sold to me, not what I actually get.
I refrained from analysing 'Dodgeball' because it was sold to me as a bit of fun. Sell me something as 'excitement and edge-of-the-seat suspense' and I will bitch about why I wasn't excited and slouched in my seat.
I thought it was down to HAL being told:
1. Mission of utmost importance.
2. Mission more important than crew's lives.
3. Hal can do mission alone if crew die.
4. Crew outrank HAL and can call off/screw up mission.
And so HAL must off crew so he can get on with mission.
He also 'designed' a motorbike.

Generations of engineers had been stupidly working on the mechanical, electrical etc aspects of motorcycle design. Now was the time for a real 'designer' to show them how stupid they had been in their narrow minded technical fields.
It was as sucessful as you might expect any 'designer' item that incorporated no improvements (the biggest innovation was the paint scheme) to ordinary items while costing more. People who ride bikes flocked away in droves.
Erm, unless your target star is *much* brighter than the sun, you will need to start braking at the halfway point. After all, you accelerated flat out till then, so your braking distance will be equal.
Few politicians look to the long term. In the long term, they are out of office.
Sink money from today's unpopular taxes into something that will pay off for someone else? No thanks!
Monkey walks on 2 legs for some reason -> other monkeys imitate radical, cool upright stance -> random mutations which help in bipedal lifestyle are favoured by increased likelihood of surviving/breeding ("Have you seen the way Jason Monkey walks? He is like, SOOOO kewl!")
Put 20c on the cost of sending any text, credit 10c to the account of any cellphone recieving a text.
Spammers would have to spend more and recievers of spam would be compensated for having to press delete. Telcos get another 10c a text and will be careful that every text carried is paid for because they will lose the 10c a text if some hacker sends 1,000,000 unpaid text to himself.
I like to use the piracy arguments on the drug problem. For instance....
Many millions of people inject themselves with opiates.
You need to be a doctor to prescribe IV opiates.
Therefore, if the illegal supplies of opiates were stopped then those millions of drug users would go and train as doctors.
What a load of bat's poo!
This assumes that someone will be as likely to watch a film for free as pay to see it. Test this by giving away tickets to movies and measure the change in attendance, what do you think will happen?
As a professional architect I have no hesitation in recommending a high rise tower faced in glass. This is the best solution for all needs everywhere which is why every city looks the same.
Send me my $50,000,000 fee and I will fax you the basic plans.
If an ecash bank wants to get his ball rolling(?) then I reckon the first and best use for micropayments is to include them in email. I can then ignore any emailler who doesn't think his message is worth paying me $0.005 to read.
Yes, I will need to stop malware emailing all my loot to nigeria, but it will kill a lot of spam.
Rumour has it that the #1 in the queue for the first production unit is goatse man.

This will solve the overpopulation problem how? Well, maybe when the houses are smaller in volume than the people who are crammed into them.

You don't remember the whole HOME TAPING IS KILLING MUSIC thing?
Once again technology costs jobs. Now they are after poor bruce dern's job.

That sounds likely. Lawyers are always trying to undercut each others prices. I am amazed they can afford to eat, they work so cheap.

infinite loop = grey goo ?
Simply re-spray a car. Any particles within half a mile will throw themselves at the paint. For better results increase the value of car used.

It's even better! Now the cops can see the dangerous illegal manouvres of the car that killed you.
Will this stuff be here before Bubble Memory? I have been waiting for bubble memory for a long time now.
