I had lasik done roughly 2-3 years ago and I would recommend it. I had both eyes done and walked out of the office in a half hour. That night was a major pain in the ass because you have to continously put drops in your eyes. The first bottle you use every hour. When that runs out you use the second bottle (throughout the night) every two or three hours (can't remember which). I had the operation done in Canaduh, eh! so not sure how different it is in the beautiful U-S-of-A. In addition, your eyes are quite itchy that night and a few days after, but obviously you don't want to scratch them!! I could go into serious detail, but to make the long story short I would recommend it.
Nonetheless do the research and make your own decision. Hope this helps!
I'm in the market for a new player and have been looking at the dell jukebox. To me an mp3 player is an mp3 player... so what makes the IPod so much better?
Keep up? Please, Apple and Linux combined couldn't put a dent in the microsoft economy. So what if apple has a flashy new monitor, Microsoft will continue to play the game of "wait until someone creates a market, then dominate it".
I think the best move for sun is to fire mcnealy and get someone in there with vision. Sun is has been going no where fast. They definitely need to do something, but I don't think the java OS is going to push them into the mainstream.
I have a question. From what I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, sharing mp3z are legal if the mp3 in question is analog. So with this in mind, wouldn't a video camera recording be dubbed an analog video (if there is such a thing)?
Caller: "This is the deputy secretary for Condoleezza Rice. We are having a problem viewing the 'cyber war game' and are sending someone over right away."
NSA-Person: "umm, that isn't possible sir..."
Caller: "Listen son, This comes right from the top. Do you want to find yourself cleaning the latrines in the chinese resturaunt down the street?"
NSA-Person: "well, umm, no but.."
Caller: "No buts! We are sending our personal network specialist over to fix the problem. You will let him do his work or you will answer to me!" hangs up the phone
"I'm from Canada, now living in New York, and people back home get surprised when I tell them how much MORE I have to pay in taxes than they do "
That's because you are making a lot MORE money than they are. I forgot to include in my previous post that in Canada you will work just as hard and for a lot LESS money (on top of taxes). Canada does not have the population much less the industry to competatively compete against US salaries.
"Question becomes, the state may have good stuff that I don't mind being taxed for, but where does all the federal money go to? Ummm...killing Afghani children with 2 million dollar bombs maybe?"
Ok, where does all the federal money in Canada go? Hold on I'll tell you. The majority of it goes into the pockets of those corrupt, liberal bastards who claim to be the government of Canada. I for one do NOT want my money going there. What has Canada done about the scandals? Nothing. Jean Cretan (he is a cretan) should be in jail! In addition, the other portion of canadian taxpayers money go to many useless social programs: gun registry, saving the indians, etc. I'm not saying that all social programs are bad, but it's not where I want MY tax money going.
Here in the US I have a better chance to make MORE money and contribute my taxes to programs that I believe are useful (ie. THE MILITARY -- the canadian military has become an oxymoron).
And to answer your question, YES I am glad that my money is being spent on 2 million dollar bombs that kill Afghani children who were eventually going to turn into terrorists anyway.
What do you prefer, socialism? Why don't you go live in canada for a while and see how you like it. You'll work just as hard but the gov't will take half of your money. Boy that sounds like a good deal... eh?
Ok, what if someone had a couple of servers in some other country that provided/shared music to the rest of the world - specifically another country that these monopolistic corporations can't touch? Is there such a country in the world?
Very good point. My next question: Does the RIAA have to download a song off my system and preserve it as evidence? If you take a bloody knife out of my house, you still have to prove the blood is that of the victim.
Does anyone know what the RIAA does to collect evidence against an offender (if they do)?
I agree -- would it be an illegal search in court? For example, in order to search my house you have to get a court order, does the same apply to my hard drive? Also, does the RIAA have to download a song that I'm sharing to prove that it is an infringement (it could be another song or incomplete...)?
Look buddy, it's people like you who are turning this country into a communist nut-house. Do you believe in the first amendment?
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

How Long is a china man
Most new games push the envelop and increase the need for greater performance. This helps the computer economy. I can't wait for half life 2!!
Last year it licensed Unix software from SCO. They ARE in bed together!

When you pay someone $0.02 a click and make $0.25 a click the return on investment is worth it.

Here is how you win:
...at the US Army cyber HQ...
NSA phone rings...
NSA-Person: "hello?"
Caller: "This is the deputy secretary for Condoleezza Rice. We are having a problem viewing the 'cyber war game' and are sending someone over right away."
NSA-Person: "umm, that isn't possible sir..."

NSA-Person: "well, umm, no but.."

US Army Guy: "Well boys, were in..."

Once they totally sensor the radio and cable what's next? When is the internet going to be sensored? At this rate it's a matter of time.
We need to get bush out of here.
