Yeah, they'd probably be written in German or Japanese. And they'd probably say it was justified because to stage an invasion of a country wherein a significant percentage of the population is armed would have been far more costly to both the invader and the invadee.
I would have given a lot to be able to push some Bach onto the stereo of that idiot stuck next to me in the traffic jam tonight who was playing Jimmy Nail's greatest hits.
Even better would be the theme to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride or the Meow Mix commercial.

Just to play devil's advocate, but the broadcast wasn't necessarily completely free. Sure, you did not have to pay cash in order to recieve the broadcast, but the network is able to do this because they charge for advertising. You effectively pay for the content by watching commercials (regardless of whether or not you actually watch them).
In one of the senate scenes in either episode one or two, I beleive they have a delagation. It's a very brief moment, but I'm fairly certain I saw ET shaped aliens in the senate.
Possibly "bloody", as some consider the word an expletive. I'm not native to where it is commonly used as such, so I am not sure of its level of offensiveness.
One thing I never did understand is why when ever they are talking about distance, they always says kilometers never miles. Is there a reason for this? It is an American show.
