Normally I'd agree with you, but at the rate that these games get produced we won't see the third installment until sometime during the Chelsea Clinton presidency. And (spoiler ahead) having it look like all of the main characters have joined the bleedin' choir invisible is not the way to leave the faithful hanging for decades.

I played TLJ right around the time I played Syberia (hey, what can I say. My PC at the time couldn't handle the newer games and I was raiding the $10 and under bargains on Amazon). I liked both games, they were similar in feel and gameplay.

I can't remember if it was April Ryan or Kate Walker, but occasionally you would find a switch or door that would not open and every time you tried to open it she'd say "It's sssssstuck." It probably sounds a bit weird but I would keep triggering that over and over, it was just so cute.

Of the two I think Syberia had a more satisfying sequel. Dreamfall was neat and whatnot, but it just left too many big questions open at the end. That's fine if you're going to be fairly timely about issuing sequels, but given their past history it makes me a little mad.

I've got a 6800 helping out a Pentium-D dual core and it runs pretty well. I had to turn down a couple of settings (the extra-glossy shader thingy really caused frame skipping) but it's running amazingly well. My only beef was having to upgrade my drivers to a "Bioshock-ready" set of betas - but apart from that it's been sweet.

    B5 geek hat on:

Yeah, but the whole "Galen just happened to be in the Eye in time to disable the defenses with his zero-term equation so that the White Star could carry out Sheridan's commands" thing was just a little too con-veeeeeenient (said in my best Church Lady voice). JMS was definitely trying to spackle over a plot hole with that one.

Otherwise I loved that trilogy. And the Centauri one too. Okay, fine. I thought the Telepath trilogy pretty swell as well.

    B5 geek hat off.

    Wait, this won't come off!

After my vasectomy I had to drop off samples twice to make sure the pipes were clean. I figured there were two ways of handling this: 1) to be totally embarassed and full of dread, or 2) not give a flying burrito and non-chalantly stride in with my jar full of jelly and tell the nurse "Crikey, I'm here to drop off some semen." I chose the second one - it was lots of fun.

That's a bit of revisionist history there.

Back when the pilot first aired, that line was not in there. After TNT picked up the show for season 5 and commisioned the movie "In the Beginning", JMS and company went off and did a special-edition jobby to the pilot. Mostly SFX tweaks, but that line was one that was added.

I can't wait for volume 15 of the B5 script books so that I can read the whole storyline if Sinclair had stayed. Yeah, I know. Geek.
