Zuckerberg is the typical tool who calls upon the government to bail him out of a problem he can't solve himself. Maybe he should check from the original Facebook authors he stole the code from maybe they have ideas he cant seem to come up with. Better yet lets close down Facebook. Its not the internet that is the problem is the CEO's with no technical aptitude that need to go.
Isn't it ironic that it takes a women to have "the balls" to address issues that old white men in Congress can't seem to fathom? They must be pretty busy addressing women's health issues given all their experience.
Nothing more then a money grab. Registering the drones will not change anything with some of the challenges we face with drones however the registration fee will be quite nice. Shall I drone on?
How about we just lower our tax rate to 15%? We would then be a favorable place to have business and while not cashing in on $0 at the higher rate we would at least cash in on some taxes.
Is it a question of extra staff for a large organization or the right technical talent and paying for it? I know CERN does not use support and they have a fairly large publicly known OpenStack environment. However there seems to be this idea that if it is research or academia it does not count toward a true production environment.
This is the reason why Linux will never make it to the desktop. The distro's spend far too time changing out tools for the new fan-boi based ones instead of maturing and refining the existing ones. Hey I have this new tool because nobody had the common sense to fix the bugs in the previous tools.
If you've worked in a huge shop, you know that the big software vendors send reps out to IT managers for golf outings and the like. Screw it if the software works or not, just fluff up the guy with the budget rubber stamp.
I did not realize my coworkers posted on Slashdot.
...because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...
How about we require them to actually pass the classes they do attend before letting them move on...
Today's grading seems to be based on if they "try" rather then actually do the assignment correctly. That type of grading is objectionable based on the teacher. Since everyone has a different opinion of "trying", your mileage may very.
There's not much that can actually be done with an SSN and nothing more. A potential id thief needs a lot more to work with in order to acually do some real damage.
You forget that with a little Google action, one can probably gain that additional information to make the Social Security number worth something. Having the name and SS is a start and it would only a little sleuthing to get the rest.
I think that is why Best Buy bought the Geek Squad. Mission: Frustrate the hell out of consumers so they just buy a new computer. What a racket, like the health care industry.
The real problem is that the average user does not understand or care to understand about security and the risks involved with surfing the internet's. All they want to do is surf the web and write their relatives. Further, the computer hardware and software makers make everything so easy to just plug in and access the internet, that a user is never required to really understand the security perils and risks.
What we need is a Computer License. Something similar to a drivers license, where you go and take a written exam and then take a hands on exam to determine if you are capable of securely operating and understanding a computer that is connected to the internet's.
Oh wait, that would probably not work. After all, there are millions of licensed drivers in this country and many of them still cannot drive safely.

Break up Facebook? Why not just close it down? Facebook is a drain on humanity for being the megaphone of ignorance and narcissism.
This could all be avoided by simple food irradiation. However most Americans are too ignorant to understand this.

I remember the Death Star being half built and I quote the Emperor "Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station!"

How will the Visitors respond to it?
While browsing the M$ Internet, I received a STOP Error, that was when the helpful paper clip told me to reboot my routers.

Yup... It won't be "the end" until the government stops abiding by the election results (or starts fixing the elections).
I thought this was already done with the Bush Jr. elections?

Those are not Swastikas, I believe they are Iron Crosses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Cross
Replication with DRBD.

The story points out how our health care system is like the Geek Squad: poor troubleshooting. In the end the client has to figure out their problem.
To archive your porn for the local time capsule.
After all, you cannot increase gas mileage in 3 years, but hold on to your hats we will have driverless cars in 3 years!!!!

Disregard.
I suppose having an open office will help with the dispersion of various odors.
Here are a few names of those 100 being monitored:
