    Actually, it would be more like stocking the BestBuy catalog in the magazine section at Wal-Mart. But really, to fully understand this situation, someone will have to develop a Car Analogy.

    But I agree: iProducts are not "open" platforms, they are a branded product that delivers an Apple "experience". There's really no reason Apple should be expected to allow the competition to promote itself on their product, it doesn't make business sense.

    Once you deny people and sorts of rights, including due process or legal counsel then abuses and screw-ups should be expected. That was rather the point of the OP.

    I agree 100% that ICE has stepped over the line, and we now live in a Police State. But claiming that ICE is rounding up US Citizens here in the USA and keeping them in Black Prisons shipping them out of the country is... Tin Foil Hat.

    While we are not there yet, I agree that it may not be too far in the future when this is a reality.

    ALL of the cases that you give (questionable) links to are disturbing. But... NONE of those cases involve *bonafide official US citizens*. I'm not disputing that ICE has stepped over the bounds and that we now live in a Police State. But saying that ICE has deported *US Citizens* for anything other than legitimate extraditable crimes is, as you well know, BULL SHIT.

    Not only does the TSA not plan to make any changes in response to the scanner issue, they have said that they would like similar "security" for Amtrak and Greyhound. Next up, searches and scanners at malls. Folks, it's too late. We let them have their way for the pas 9 years or so, and they have grown too strong to stop.

    And Julian Assange seems to trying to cement his reputation as an attention-seeking little boy. I (and most people) don't know what really happened with the whole "rape" allegation, but based on his antics in the press, and his past history, whilst I seriously doubt he actually raped somebody, I don't have much trouble believing he's an arrogant little twat who probably overstepped the bounds of decency with a few girls. It's hardly like he's actually denied sleeping with them, he's just denied actually outright raping them. Poetic justice, if there ever was any.

    It's interesting that you should say this and be modded "Interesting", since last week when such a comment would have certainly resulted in "Troll" or "Flamebait".
