I just hope the plastic doesn't fight back, leading to a plastic pollution solution retribution.
But then, maybe the caterpillars would adapt, leading to a plastic pollution solution retribution evolution.
'At no time did Vasquez or any other agent, servant, or employee of the Defendant tell Plaintiff that Defendant would leave the decals on the truck, which would be transferred in some fashion to international jihadists conducting warfare upon innocents in Syria,' reads the complaint.
The defendant, however, says he mentioned it 2 or 3 times.
Even as I speak the scourge of advertising could be heading to your town. Lock your doors, bar your windows, because the next advertisement you see could destroy your house and eat your family!
Nintendo's Wii, despite not really having any significant new software releases, was close behind with 501K units sold.
That seems a little misleading to me. Maybe the Wii didn't have any huge releases in September, but Metroid Prime 3, perhaps the Wii's most anticipated non-launch game, was released less than a week before September started.
If time travel into the past is impossible, then surely that means that all time travel must be impossible. In other words, time travel into the future must be impossible too.
Nonsense!
I, myself, am a time traveler from the past. I've been journeying into the future at a rate of sixty seconds per minute.
Say it with me: Correlation does not imply causation.
Did you RTFA? While it's light on detail, it does imply that the research found more than a correlation.
Then the researchers had 83 men play either a racing game or another type of game, and found that those who played the racing game reported more thoughts and feelings associated with risk-taking than the others.
Now, assuming that they split these 83 men into the two groups randomly (didn't let them choose their favourite type of game or something like that) then that does imply causation, because there is no way that their aggressive feelings (or some third factor) was responsible for them playing the game in the first place.
Now, whether the study was actually conducted correctly and whether these "thoughts and feelings associated with risk-taking" are significant are other matters entirely.
The rejected laws included provisions to hold terror suspects indefinitely
Actually, the law that was voted on only included provisions to hold terror suspects for 72 hours, not indefinitely.
The law about holding suspects indefinitely which the article mentions (and the article is clear that it's a different law) was struck down by the Supreme Court last week.
The law that could hold a suspect indefinitely required a "security certificate" to be issued by the government, and it only applied to foreign suspects.
I think it's funny that none of the analysts mention pre-installed base of portable units.
An interesting idea, but I don't know if it will be a huge factor. After all, integration with the GameBoy Advance was supposed to be a huge selling feature for the GameCube.
The only console I own is a GameCube, and I love it, but the GBA integration is actually an annoyance for me (as someone who doesn't own a GBA). I hate the fact that my Metroid Prime disc has the original Metroid on it, but it can't be unlocked unless I buy a GBA, a link cable, and Metroid Fusion.
Also, at a time when more and more developers seemed to be abandoning the GameCube, Nintendo released the Zelda Four Swords Adventures, which required *multiple* GBAs to play fully. This made me feel like even Nintendo was abandoning the GameCube in favour of a GameCube-GameBoy hybrid platform. I love the Zelda series (the Zelda Collector's Edition is what convinced me to buy a GameCube), but I passed on this one since I couldn't play it the way it was meant to be played.
If Sony and Nintendo can leverage their handheld sales from
the last year properly, they will make up ground they lost
from the Xbox360's head start.
I guess "properly" is the key word there. Being able to download things to your DS or PSP seems like a good feature (but I don't know if it's a killer feature). But if the "leverage" involves shafting people who don't buy your handheld, then you just alienate part of your market.
From the description, the game sounds like what, in the industry, is derisively called a "track ride", where you're led by the nose through a canned story.
So it's a good thing the reviewer gave you enough information to make up your own mind rather than relying on arbitrary scores.
(as opposed to the left-handed Link seen since Ocarina of Time)
Link was left-handed even in the original Legend of Zelda. Well... three quarters left-handed, anyway. When he was facing 3 of the 4 directions he used his left hand for his sword. He used his right hand when facing one direction because the same sprites were used when Link faced left and right, just reflected.
It's bewildering to me that San Andreas didn't make the list either.
Keep in mind that each franchise is only listed once on the list. GTA3 was the best selling title in the franchise on PC in the last 6 years with 420,000 units, but franchise sales were 1.1 million. So even if Vice City matched GTA3's 420K, San Andreas still sold at least 260,000 units, which beats many games on the list.

From... uh... 13 years ago... ?
Sony Kills Betamax
Indeed, there is a statute of limitations.
Sure, if you didn't sign up for the course in the first place.
Yeah, a single core and 640K of memory should be enough for anyone.
That seems like a strange reversal.
But surely Google wouldn't be foolish enough to trade their builder monkeys for this license.
When 900 years you reach, speak as well you will not.

Censorship is serious, but there's no need to resort to childish name-calling!

I give this review a 9 out of 10. ;)

Except Cheney would already have been kicked for team-killing.
And what about the "Tunes" part? I'm stumped on that one.
