I beg to differ, Poker not like Blackjack, involve something more called bluff. Sure they are strategies involve in both of them, Blackjack even has a couting theorie, so you know when to bet more...

But to play Poker you need, skills, social skills, straight face, lying face, and alot of luck. I really think that the big million games aren't won by does with alot of luck, but the ones with more bluffing skills, except if you play open poker...

And you're write I can be called a nerd and the two games I would "risk" (calculated risk), would still be poker and blackjack(cause I can count!).

Those words echo in my ears. Do I want to be a part of it? or work against it? Do I embrace it and build better richer games? They have all the cards in they're hands. They are not really in the email business (yet). Searching seems their main business as of now. And they pay that with advertising only? I know they have the brainpower of some of the brightiest geeks out there. But surely they must have a better skeem of somekind to give (freely) that much email space. I mean my last hardrive cost me 200$ US and I got 40 Gig...

I'm really starting to think that this much altruism is really gonna profite some few people.
Or they have found a hole in the thin layer of space and time, and manage to be able to give without any real return on investment (ROI).

Call me paranoid, call me non-believer, believe me I WANT to believe. But nothing on earth is free. People don't give unless, they get something in return. Unless they want to polish they're image. (Like Micro$oft with Hotmail. Theyre less evil, cause they give free emails)
But Google does'nt need a better image, they are the image. The best search engine ever in human history( for now ). I think they're in for the money.

When see a violent act, I understand the uselessness of it, but others will not. I can't say its the majority cause thats not true alot of people have a brain. Its the few stupid dorks that are the problem.

I shoulda said theres no direct connection that can proove the link between viloence seen on tv or in a game and real life

And the people who go out and shoot others because they played doom in their basement, are just plain dumb, its a social issue, they weren't educated and thats what I'm afraid of. Why didn't they had that little voice that told them to stop is beyond my comprehension.

I'm in Canada, so I'm influence mainly by the big country south of me.
But I don't like FPS either, I like more brainy, self-involving nature of RTS or RPG style games.
I'm hardly playing games anymore, the last thing I touched was solitary, but if I had time I'll surely get into Final Fantasy Series.

If they think games encourage violence, well its a good thing no?, and "Violent games are not so popular in Japan"
How can this be bad? Even if its a game ??? I understand that there's no connection between violence seen or in games and real life but people should realise, that if somethings are not liked somewhere, then maybe theres a good reason for it...
