I use Xpivacy which is a module add on to Xposed Framework to control permissions now. Have been using it for sometime. Allows using something like the Facebook app without allowing it all of the permissions it thinks it neededs.
Not really sure what Google is thinking though. There needs to be more fine control of permissions not less.
Does that mean that since the Gov can't maintain the Evidence for the suits filed against them for privacy issues, that the people suing will get default judgments? Most likely not... another catch 22 for citizens... can't win either way.
Windows, Android pretty sure there is an iPhone version. keep it sync'd and use a complicated password. 3 shots at the password and the database is wiped. A website accounts are random generated different passwords for each site. No two sites has the same password. Most don't have the same user account. Also good for devices, and other info where you need to keep notes, date purchased, sn, license keys, setup info etc...
If they release Amazon Prime Video for other Android devices, most likely I would not mind. I take advantage of it enough for shipping to make it worth while.
Yes you can get it on an Amazon Android device like Kindle Fire etc... but I'm not going to buy one of those (actually my wife has one). I have a Nexus 7 and a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, neither have Amazon Prime video available for them. I don't even use Amazon prime video for that reason. Would be nice for GoogleChrome to access it as well.
Simple. They want to be able to get a status from SMS text and the only way to get that is to get permission to the SMS Messages. There is no finer permission level in Android to just give them what they need without access to the rest.
I just block that access since I don't want to use their messaging anyway. Blocked with Root, Xposed Framework, XPrivacy to control which permissions I want to allow them to have.
I have a number of historical archives to provide reference to what was being said and done back in the past rather than having that info disappear forever. they are not really web pages but rather web access to mailing lists etc...
I get requests to update the sites in them all the time, but have them set as read-only so keep the context under which they were written. So some of the web links included don't go anywhere any more but the main body of the text is valid for that period of time.
Does this destroy the electronics ie make them no longer work until replaced? Does this affect other things like watches, phones, pace makers and other medical equipment?
Would be an interesting oops... wrong vehicle or a innocent vehicle is in range when this is triggered.
Imagine you are passing a vehicle with a big trucking approaching from the other direction and you pass a speed sign which reduces the speed limit.... car auto brakes putting you in risk of a head on collision.
I think you would find a very negative reaction if you set up a Water bottling business at your house and started selling the water you get from utility company. Setting up hosting is similar in that you are using resources not intended to be used and are "selling" something that is not yours.
Setting up a Charging station and charging people to charge up their cars using electricity at your residential rates would get you the same response.
The Unlimited Data is a false promise, but I don't see how it has anything to do with Net Neutrality.
I don't know because I have not looked, but I'm sure that Google has a "Business Plan" for those that want to host just like Cox has a business hosting package.
That is exactly what they are doing though depending on the device the per month is different. Example.. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 $199.99 + $20 for 24 months OR $679.99
We actually mark on SPF checks on the outside but accept them. They then pass through a spam quarantine system which if they are SPF-FAIL or SPF-SOFTFAIL they are quarantined. Users can release them if they want to but they have to check their "Junk" reports to look for them or go to the portal itself. They have up to 15 days to release them or they are gone. However since these are a policy based rule, they can't white list senders that are messed up. Doesn't take long for a major vendor to learn they need to do email right.
Biggest problem is people with SPF records ending with ~ALL which basically means here is where we think our mail is coming from but if it is from somewhere else don't block it. Kind of stupid to not know where your email is being sent from. Especially annoying when a known company is setup like that that gets used as a phishing attack which is why we now quarantine SPF-SOFTFAIL now.
you over paid for a lot of the stuff... $5 for 1.8A 5v MicroUSB PSU (includes cable), $6 16GB Class 4 MicroSDHC card with Sdcard adapter.... free shipping on both.... I use a WiFi USB Dongle ($12) no keyboard, no mouse headless... great little device. Have 3 of them.
If a site doesn't want Google to make money off of their content headlines... then they can easily opt out of having Google pick up their data and index it.
But NO... they WANT the exposure and get a cut too.... if the law is passed, cut them off. Simple
The whole point (from the Raspberry Pi Foundation point of view) is to teach kids programming?
You get a RPi, with a SDcard already with the OS on it, plug it into the monitor, keyboard and mouse and go.... Covering all that up with a web interface which just adds another layer of stuff doesn't make sense. Personally, I prefer to use it command line, no GUI and get right into code.
As for delivery... if you are still waiting for one, you bought it from the wrong place. You can order them now and get them in a week or less. I got one in 3 days.
In Arizona, with a115F day, my truck can heat up pretty good... I use a small 12V cooler to store anything that can't handle the heat. I have a very heavy duty battery so the drain is not an issue. I always crack my back windows a bit to help keep the truck cooler and park in the shade if it is available.
I use a couple silicon packs in it to absorb moisture. Similar to what you put into safes to keep moisture out. I keep it unplugged if not using it. Coolers using Ice cause moisture and if you forgot to get Ice... This is always ready to use if needed.
Seriously.... no offline backups? Not a real business in that case.

Say goodbye to Kevin Purdy.
I use google voice a lot.

"NASA estimates that the rock was a modest 10 or so feet across"
And that gets a title as Massive asteroid impacts Mars?

It is the patents like what Monsanto is doing that are the problem. There is no health issues.
Lets see, no camera, no motion sensors, HUGE and heavy... don't see where anyone would be comparing this to Google Glass.
Does this destroy the electronics ie make them no longer work until replaced?

Would be an interesting oops... wrong vehicle or a innocent vehicle is in range when this is triggered.
Not sure why this is hard.... If you don't want a DRM car, don't buy one.
Perhaps you are more the exception than the rule here?
Imagine you are passing a vehicle with a big trucking approaching from the other direction and you pass a speed sign which reduces the speed limit .... car auto brakes putting you in risk of a head on collision.
Dumb.
If they don't have them documented... good luck.

Places and things people should not be clicking on in the first place.
