So, you want a double row for your buddies or something? Comparing a text editor (at least that's what it looks like) to an IM client is foolish; the text editor contains text, which (unless explicitly) disabled wraps so if you make the window wider of thinner the text spreads out... maybe collapsing some of the sections would be a better idea?
Why not make an MSI package? I worked at a school for a year or so and I used the InstallShield AdminStudio trial version to make MSI packages for The GIMP and a whole load of other FOSS software to roll out across the Campus (~350 machines excluding administration). Being as this is/. i'm sure somebody in the know will point you to a FOSS solution but this was the best solution we had.

It's not mozilla-only, it is infact w3c standards compliant and as such renders fine in all standards-complient browsers; as such it renders fine in Opera 7.x
Nothing much has changed between the last XFree86 release and the Xorg release because it's such a recent fork; with the exception of some drivers working in the Xorg release which do not work on the XFree86 release (The reason Slackware switched as of 10 iirc) things are pretty much the same atm.
It just gained Uni status; I know because this is the uni i'll be going to this coming September (after working as a techie for a while) to study computer games development:)

Yes, you are. I want tabbed management on as many applications as possible where i'd normally have several instances open at once, there is nothing worse that looking at the bottom of my screen and seeing 16 instances of my webbrowser, 4 of my word processing package, my audio player, a peer to peer client... Basically anybody who uses their computer alot will see the advantage of adding tabbed indexes to many programs to prevent clutter and increase efficiency.
For first timers? I've been building computers for years and if its a mobo I have not encoutered before i'll flip through the manual to the obligatory diagram just to make sure there's nothing weird I have to deal with.
Do what I did for my family; remove all references to IE, took away the links from the start menu and quicklaunch tray, used TweakUI to remove the IE link from the desktop and then configure Windows to use Firefox (I did if for Opera but that's jsut personal preference) as teh default browser. I then chose a skin which was similar in appearance to the UI for IE so that the differences are minimal and imported all their bookmarks. Sure it still took a little bit of time to get used to but they've both familiarised themselves with it enough that they don't want to go back.
In the UK a significant percentage of people who own mobile phones own ones made by nokia, myself included; they tend to be reasonably priced, very functional and have the extra fluff like alternate covers which attracts the general public.
Nintendo did it with the GBA with some sucess, why shouldn't nokia give it a shot? They have the money to plough into it the N-Gage platform, eventually they will make it into a profeitable venture. Just look at how long it took Amazon to make a profeit and how important it is now.
Dear Boy,
Just a few lines to let you know I am still alive. I am writing this letter slowly because I know you cannot read fast. You won't know the house when you come home - we have moved. It was a lot of trouble moving. The most difficult thing was the bed. You see the man wouldn't let us take it in the taxi. It wouldn't have been too bad if your father hadn't been in it at the time. About your father he has a lovely new job. He has 500 men under him, he is cutting the grass at the cemetery.
Your sister got herself engaged to that fellow she has been going with He gave her a beautiful ring with three stones missing. Our neighbour the Kowalskis started to keep pigs, we got wind of it this morning. I got my appendix out and a new dishwasher put in.
There was a washing machine in the new house when we moved in, but it isn't working too good. Last week, I put four shirts into it, pulled the chain and haven't seen the shirts since. Your little brother came home from school yesterday; all the boys in his school have new suits. We can't afford to buy him a new suit but we are going to buy him a new hat and let him look out the window. Your sister, Mary had a new baby this morning. I haven't heard yet whether it was a girl or a boy so I don't know whether you're an aunt or an uncle.
Your uncle Dick was drowned last week in a vat of moonshine in Two Hills, four of his friends tried to save him, but he fought them bravely off. We cremated his body and it took three days to put the fire out. Kate is now working in a factory in Edmonton. She has been there now for six weeks. I am sending her some clean underwear as she says she's been in the same shift since she started.
Your father didn't have much to drink last Christmas - I put a bottle of castor oil in his pint of beer; it kept him going 'til New Year's day. I went to the Doctor on Thursday, your father came with me. The Dr. put a small glass tube in my mouth and told me not to open it up for ten minutes. Your father wanted to buy it from him.
It only rained twice last week. First for three days, then for four days. Monday was so windy that one of our chickens laid the same egg four times. We had a letter yesterday from the undertaker. He said if the first instalment isn't paid on your Grandmother's grave within seven days, up she come. I must close now because the plumber is coming to repair the pipe and there is a shocking smell.
Your loving mother.
P.S. I was going to send you $10,000 but I already sealed the envelope.

...it's a simple matter of downloading and installing the correct codecs and most modern media players will play any format you could wish.
Minor correction: That said, *insert name of American/Canadian larger* is pretty nasty at any temperature ;-)

Maybe the European one?

I had such fun mocking the people using the original N-gage though... GBA SP all the way!
Yeah, its Firefox Modern 0.7.1, the theme I am using atm :)

It works fine for me, you guys need to learn some patience....
Oops, my bad, sorry.
Here is the thread containing screenshots of the new theme.
ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 only works on WinME boxes and earlier, it does not apply to Win2k/WinXP...
I second that statement, a text editor should be all you ever need.
