    Hmmm.. !
    It sounds to me as the perfect computer to build in my car.

    From the article:
    - Book sized (9" x 7" x 1.75") machine that weighs approximately three pounds.
    - It features a rugged no-moving-parts design that includes a Compact Flash drive.
    - Operates on 12 volt DC power and can be run from a car battery.
    - The article states its quiet.

    The SolarLite uses 10 watts of energy, does that compromise my car battery performance - or is it insignificant?

    Those stones are NOT as hard to move as the conspiracy theorists would have you believe.
    I agree: when a kid i climbed on a carsize stone that was balancing on a megalithic tomb, it slided/moved somewhat downhill.

    Since then, i hide my powers for humanity carefully- until Ultra-humanite, Lex Luthor, The Prankster, The Toyman, Mr Mxyzpltlk, Brainiac, Metallo, Titano, Parasite, Terra-Man, Vartox, Maxima, Eradicator, or Doomsday return to treat any Dutch ppl.

    Also, obviously i see right through clothes. It has its disadvantages.

    Then you'll just be in love with the fact that not only does the local high school have its own firing range, but my daughter's Jr. ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) class also gets to (sometimes) practice with a fully-automatic M-16.
    It surprises me, but everyone can have it their way, i'm sorry. I just dont see/understand it. If its common at schools who am i to complain from over here.

    You need to look not so far in the past as the "wild west", but much nearer and closer to home (for you, if the .nl domain is accurate). Try May 10, 1940. Google for that date and the words "Netherlands blitzkrieg" for enlightenment.
    Yes, i'm dutch. Good point... weapons where used when there was a worldwar on top of this county. Are you expecting any worldwar soon in your area?

    Better to have a gun, and trained properly and NOT NEED it than to need it and not have one.
    I need no weapon, as i know there aren't any around me. Quite simple actualy.

    in Eindhoven, Netherlands there was a
    wonderfull place called the Evoluon that had very that.
    Inventions not yet invented, mostly real and some simulated but looking 100% real.

    The fun part was that you could touch almost anything, sadly not including
    the o-so-fantastic flexible-elastic LCD postcards that played a recorded audio and videomessage.
    Still waiting for that one to arrive.

    Anyways, its been lots of years since they closed now. :(
    I guess its very expensive to maintain such a collection.

    This treaty doesn't hold India or China to the same levels that the USA and EU are held to.

    If they want the treaty to be approved it has to treat everyone the same, this one doesn't.

    sorry for my poo`ish english, i'm Dutch.

    I just realy realy love gmail, i'd even pay for it (assuming
    it'll expand its functions etc on a continous basis,
    thats very important) but have this one small thing to say..

    Gmail (Google Mail) is pronounced Gay-Mail in dutch.
    I suggest you try to find a somewhat less strange mail adress,
    as people who dont know google-mail look quite silly at me
    after they asked for my mail adress.

    PS: i don't hate homosexuals, but dont like people to think i'm gay.

    Im impressed that i could control a flightsimulator (as we know it) using only 60 elektroconnections?

    Looks like it was flying kinda blind, or maybe only 'saw' the altitude meter and *only* responded to that..

    A flightsim sounds cool, but it wasnt a full size thing as you'd expect when hearing the word flightsimulator.

    (when i was a 12 years old) My previous neighbur could solve one in (almost) a blink. He was fond of the game. Whenever I was over at theirs place, i'd try it every time but never ever got it just right. So i dicided to relocate some color labels, once i found out how to click them loose. It wasnt easy. But i didn't finisch the job, i had to go suddenly. After that, it was unsolvable, and he didnt realize. He went crazy whenever he was playing with it.

    Why do you expect a midi port?
    as said, midi only uses 7 bits in stead of 32 wich are needed to get a decent resolution and throughput.

    also, most important - this is not a audio thingie, but a lot more than that. Once they are affordable i'll have one, as input device. If they are going to b supported in some games, that'd be great. Personally, i'd make my own LCARS into a reality.

    I would switch, to make myself more comfortable with mac osx and make a bigger switch later on.

    I think thats the idea, making people try it, and buying a mac as their new pc.

    I for one welcome or apple overlords. They should be able to survive without MS funding. I welcome mac. They are made for no-fuss solutions.

    Wil the x86 platform downsize OS-X's features?
