  2. Star Sonata is lots of fun on Independent Games Festival 2005 Entries Announced · · Score: 0

Star Sonata is a MMORPG set in space. It's sort of like Eve online, only less pretty and free. If you ever played Subspace or Cosmic rift, you know how the game works. It's top down, and you fly your space ship around blowing up AI ships, getting XP and money, and buying better guns. There's a leveling system to train skills, and if you want you can get skills in placing drones to attack for you, or skills in building a station that will mine resources for you to trade with other bases.
The game is really open ended a lot of fun. It's still in beta but I suggest you check it out. It's free :D. Warning: The game is highly addictive and will steal your life.

Of course, that presents the problem of getting a couple billion.

  14. Network Cabling Box on Wiring a Neighborhood? · · Score: 5, Insightful

As someone who wired my house when I built it, I have one MAJOR thing I would do differently. Every room should have at least two cat5 ports on the wall that run to a central box in the basement. Then all these cat5 ports can be patched together any way you please, rather than forcing them to use certain paths. This makes it so much easier to design your home network in a way that suits you rather than the way that works with what you've wired.
