    yes would it happen of course not. 1)consequences if something goes wrong and 2)oil companies have too much clout, they'll let all the oil in the world run out and let civilizaiton die off before they give up their billions

    Nope. I could go on to say I created my own os that only I used and because no one breached it, it's the safest.

    I don't mean to knock mac or anything but I just feel since it's the one no one cares about, people dont try as hard to break it.

    And to be fair(I didn't read the article so correct me if I'm wrong), they should inculde the other flavors on unix such as solars, hp-us, aix just to see how they stack up...

    Religion has always been a touchy subject with people that hardly any other subject can conjure up. Case in point, wet get fed everyday by corporations and advertisements on what to wear, what we should eat, how should we enjoy our free time,etc, no one cares. Well at least no one makes a big stink over it. Bring in God, you have wwIII.

    Naturally this article was put on here to cause a big debate....

    Anyhow I am a believer of Christ as my Savior. I'm not going to debate. Debating here is not going to change my views and vice versa. I may get flamed out for it, whatever, I don't care.

    I'm just here for people to keep in mind if you do used the Bible for specific arguments, for both sides of the coin(non-believer and especially believer) at least make sure its right. Alot of times i see people trying to site Bible references and they just mess it up. Naturally its wrong to misquote or misuse any reference, the Bible is no exception...........

    The same applies to non-religious too. When someone hold on to an idea, no matter if there dead wrong or not there argue it until they die.

    I'm a believer myself and I don't remember there being stoning of children? Stoning of men yes but not of children. Where was this stoning of children located you are talking about?

    why dont they just ban vhs, dvd recorders, and computers while were at it? i think alot more peopel record with those devices than with a tivo. but this just goes to show this country run by corporate is getting WAY out of hand

    I just bought a tivo less than a week ago too. The ppv movie limit is fine by me only because I don't get any ppv channels. Now the thing with the nfl is just f up and wrong. I like to watch, like the majority of the football loving population, other football games and to do that is not right.

    I don't regret getting the tivo if for anything else i have all 4 games of my favorite team winning the world series for the first time in 86 years :). I just know in the future never to buy a new box when this one keels...

    i see your point in the matter. just because a guy says he is a christian, doesn't mean he is. the Bible states very well that people will call themselves christians during these times but they are far removed from God.

    ok lets say all plants in the u.s. turn to nuclear. now from what i learn in high school sciene, so correct me if i'm wrong, their is waste that needs to be dumped. where will you dump the waste of millions of tons of radioactive products?

    the u.s. flight system too had a pretty darn good track system too of not hitting into tall building up until 9/11. just because nothing happenned, doesnt mean it wont

    Correct me if I'm wrong here because I'm not rocket scientist :) but I can see why people would be concerned. Look what happen to challenger. Now picture that with a nuclear power challenger. Having a mushroom cloud effect above the earth isn't going to be pretty.....

    I wouldnt call it being a herd consumer per say, more like a wise one, not as much brainwashed one :). When you think about it we all are herd consumers. You're right about waiting for the games. Hype or no hype, very few, if any games are worth the $50+ price tag when they first come out. And even amongst the hype, new fancy graphic engine this type of game play blah blah blah, i find myself still enjoying old school classics like rbi baseball and megaman :)

    We all know ballmer comments is way out of line, but such is a way of the monopoly. Case in example, how many more bloated, mostly useless features can you add in a word processor or spread sheet to try to justify charging up the whazoo each and every year?

    Also, right now longhorn is looking to be just xp service pak 3 but that won't stop them from charging $300+ for it. Maybe ms realizes their software prices is out of whack and being a monopoly, instead of lowering prices they just foolishly try to put the blame elsewhere.

    For windows, correct me if im wrong but wouldnt it be best if ie didnt allow programs to be run as administrator priveleges nor let them save files in any other directory outside the cookie/temp folders? Would that actually be hard to do? Ok said webpage wants to install this file in the windows folder, sorry can't do that, display message to user of possible evil site.
