  1. The next New York Times Bestseller on Wiimote Straps Result in Class Action Suit · · Score: 1

John Grisham's next book - The Remote. It's about a small time lawyer who hits it big by suing console makers and video game developers. Due to some unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, he picks up a console for his kids and shit like that. Good story from Grisham - he'll spin some 500 pages.

  2. Yeah sure on PS3 Predicted to Lead Market Through 2011 · · Score: 1

The analyst group believes Sony will lead in next-gen market share by 44% in 2011

Yeah sure. If they manage to release it at all. Or PS4 is going to be priced so over the top, $600 would be peanuts for a gaming console (OK, calculate that figure to 2011 economy by adjusting it to inflation blah blah blah).

I've got nothing against Sony and PS3 personally. But come on, $600 for a console and god knows how much EA will charge me for another mind-numbing sequel. Just can't afford it.

Yeah, now everything is a "feature" with "goals". Give me a break.

However, that means that malware, running as a Standard User, can download an administrative application, and send keystrokes through Windows to simulate the user invoking the application. As a result, Windows cannot tell if YOU launched the application or if malware launched the application.
How about if you add something extra to make sure no "malware" lands up on my system? Can you do that?

Or if things turn out for worse, you can always have the experience of working in a start-up on your resume. And you might even get your mundane job back.

  14. My Questions: Windows - The Most Secure OS? on Ask Microsoft's Security VP · · Score: 1

Microsoft Windows is historically a BadBoy - crashes, viruses, exploits, vulnerabilites etc etc. After XP, this situation has changed with the firewall and regular security updates. But the situation hasn't changed much.

The "Windows vs Linux" research is debatable. As the OS powering nearly 95% of PC market (sorry, I don't have any recent statistics right away. Let's say 95), how long do you think it will take for Windows(or any other OS from the house of Microsoft) to be the most secure Operating System there is?
