    water under an ice sheet is at or near freezing temps. water is most dense,takes up less space, at 39 degrees farenheit. so as the water warms from at or near freezing it becomes more dense till the water reaches 39 degrees. now the scary part comes with the oceans. as we pass this most dense point the water starts to expand rapidly, leading to much higher ocean levels. so what is occuring now is deceptive and will cause arguments that global warming is not occuring. but then i'm just a plumber what do i know....

    could it be that the world WIDE web is just too wide for many goverments? maybe if we are not carefull about what we allow to be removed, there will be nothing worth removing. we only need look to china to see how the web can be restricted, and with the help of free world companies. suppose you shut down isp's who don't filter out child porn or racist propoganda? that sounds like a good idea don't it? after that how about the isp's that allow pirate d/l's on p2p networks. maybe after that you shut down isp's that allow you to use a browser that blocks ads, then where will the fox run? are these ideas farfetched, maybe, impossible, no certainly not. its all in what we allow them to take in the way of our freedoms. we are as a people willingly giving up our freedoms in the name of safety from terrorist and that says to me the terrorist have won.

    the nsa until recently was not even known to the general puplic. the nsa has been tapping all overseas phone calls for quite some time now. several years ago i read an obscure article about the nsa and thier headquarters outside of washington, d.c. its basicly a building within a building filled with, quess what, lots of super computers. they are not using these things for any kinda video rendering , but to monitor phone conversations. they monitor all overseas calls to and from the U.S. and they monitor ALL phone calls made around the entire planet. we know its against the law for them to tap our phones here in country soooooo the have canada and britain ect. do it for them and exchange information as a way to sidestep the laws.

    a union plumber goes through a 5 year apprentiship, most college students only do 4 years. the main concern of a plumber is to protect the health of the population. do you really want splash back to hit you from a urinal that just been used by someone else and not been rinsed by a flush! California has a lot of ways to save water besides going to a no flush urinal. they could ban the use of clean water for irrigation purposes and use out flow from wastewater treatment plants. there are many such proposals out there. the water problems in california will only get worse.

    i am a plumber here in seattle, some comrades in the trade installed these waterless urinals in the Smith tower here, all though the bldg. well it was not long after that the complaints of the smellls started coming. so i guess if you want to save water you can live with the smell. from a professional point of view i think that they are unsanitary. that flush of water rinses the porcilen of the urine. i know that 99% of the readers here have never had to remove the drain piping from a urinal from behind a wall but its amazing how much scale buils up inside the pipes from a urinal(really one of my least favorite jobs best left to the apptrentice). without water this scale will become even thicker faster causing a failer of the drain. so it ends up costing the customer more in the long run. and finally for those who think i am overpaid , whats it worth to you to stick your hands in a bucket of sh#&....

    emp bldg lookks like a red guitar thrown on a pillow when viewed from the mercer st. freeway exit. the general public has never really noticed this and this is the first time i have ever posted on this. do others see the same thing from this angle, its fitting for what the bldg. houses.
