Because right or wrong, there are a large amount of people who wont play a computer game because its too "nerd like".
There are also those who refuse to shell out money for an entire console simply because it has a single game they want. There are also those unwilling to make the 30+ hour investment a game requires. There are also people (such as myself) who are unable to grasp the mechanics of modern gameplay and partake in such pleasures as Mass Effect (I struggle with combat that isn't turn based and/or menu driven).
But hey, don't let facts stop you from making a martyr of yourself simply because you play video games.
There was actually a considerable amount of flooding in our ancient past, that the flood myth is quite clearly based off. No the entire world wasn't covered in water. No there weren't only two survivors along with many animals on a single boat. But the terror inspired by the rising water is quite clearly what inspired those myths.
The one who made a stink about the assignment was a student. I think pointing out that the security put in place to combat terrorists is actually security theatre is something the teachers SHOULD be doing.
Not at all. Simply dust the paper for fingerprints and check to see if they're in any government databases. You can privately vote mark your ballot however you want. TECHNICALLY the law doesn't say your vote must remain private. Otherwise they could arrest and charge people for making it public who they voted for.
The gym works perfectly. If you're prepared to continue that level of commitment for the rest of your life. Most people aren't. So for most people moderating your diet is more effective. Dieting however is not a good idea. Any change you make must be forever. If you can't handle doing it (or doing without) for the rest of your life, don't bother starting.
(Disclaimers: I read books, and grew up in an city-sized 60s suburb that was entirely safe to let kids roam.)
Parents of the time thought it was safer than parents do these days. It may be that it was safe. It may still be safe to do now. Or it may be it was simply perceived as being safe.
Fortunately we've left evidence external to the Earth hopefully proving forever after that there was once intelligent life on this planet. Although I'd say the likelihood of these artifacts surviving long enough is fairly negligible.
As great as the other parties are, only Labour and Liberal ever win the election. So its effectively a two party system, with a few others thrown in that sometimes help. Sometimes.
Wow. I've noticed many prime ministers actually are christians despite us being nowhere near as religious a nation as America. However she isn't the first. Whitlam was a proud atheist who removed the sales tax on the pill much to the hatred of religious nutters.
Go with ADSL. Cable isn't worth having to put up with the jackasses at Telstra. As someone who once had cable and has moved on to ADSL, there is little difference and the benefits far outweigh the minor loss in speed.
I have a very bright sister. She's now doing a Phd in psychology. Back in highschool she got the highest test results in her computer class, and yet she didn't understand a single thing that was in the test.
Conversely I did struggle throughout school. There was one subject that I got 100% in all the theory and practical exercises for an entire semester. And yet I only got a credit in the final exam.
I know game stores around here have killed Blockbuster for video games. You can play a game for a week and return it if you don't like it and get a full refund.
Your talking statistically. Statistically what the score should be is irrelevant. Yes, NORMALLY the score will be 5-5. But this single game may actually be an outlier.
they had no need or use for before it was announced.
I've been waiting for the iPad since September last year, and I didn't even know it existed back then. I did have a need, and the iPad filled that need. But then I wasn't stupid enough to buy it at JB Hi-Fi as well.
and IMO is one Government department that is WELL worth the money spent on it
If Americans have taught me anything, its that the government interfering in private companies is ALWAYS bad. So clearly this must be false. Despite the well documented gains from the department. Hopefully Tony Abbott will continue Howard's tradition of becoming more like America. Hail Jesus!

which is essentially equivalent to the last year of high school for students taking the most advanced maths courses possible.
I don't know about UK schools, but at the school I went to such people would have numbered in the single digits.

If this was the case Warner would have begun suing them before it was even released.

Its results would indicate that simply feeding children less will make them less fat regardless of activity level.
That is so insightful. I thought people gained weight by eating less food. That explains why my diet hasn't been working.

with Gillard being "non-religious"

So we have a choice between a censored internet or becoming slaves to corporate overlords. This is the issue with the two party system.
Punching your kid so hard he falls over is hardly the same as smacking their behind.
Why the giant disaprity? Is it population density and simply too many people using the same resources?
As someone whose 25 I have no interest in mobile phones. I don't think its an age thing.
Most of the people I work with are in their 40s and yet I know for a fact they know more than I do.

IMO exams mean shit.
If I'm using an external mouse, keyboard and monitor, why am I bothering with a laptop in the first place?

The PS3 has another seven years at least of full Sony support.
PSX came out in 1994.
PS2 came out in 2000 (6 years later)
PS3 came out in 2006
I'd say PS3 has another 3 years rather than 7.
