    Most modern underground tanks are double-walled for environmental reasons. There's an air-gap between the inner and outer walls.

    If you watch people at the station, men typically 'shake' and 'tap' the hose while women don't. Some women WILL get a towel and wipe the side of the car, but a man won't.... Really. I'm not kidding. Watch and you'll see.

    LabVIEW will allow you to create parallel code easily, but that doesn't mean that it will run WELL. It is important to understand any tool's features (and shortcomings) to use it to full potential. Give a caveman a hammer, chisel and some stone and you might get a mortar for crushing food. Don't expect the Pantheon or Mt Rushmore in a week.

    Thank your boss (whoever you reported to) and offer to support, explain and assist in any way possible (including interviewing your potential replacement). You will probably be rejected, but you would be showing good faith and ill-will to those who stay. It would also likely be recorded in your employee record in the event that you ever tried/were asked to return.
