    CRT screens have been around for longer then most people reading this article. Give the technolgys a few more years to develop, then you can decide. Now does anyone know a good company in the Portsmouth, NH area I can rent a crane from? I have to move my 24 inch CRT moniter across campsus

    I remember when i was a kid like 8 or 9. I was the only kid who knew how to hook up TVs, game consles , and computers. So when ever billy or timmy dad took away the televison or nintendo i could fix it.. for a price. In this case it would be the kid who figures out how to download ringtones, or send txt messsages and tells all his friends...

    idk if you look at your numbers. But it seems that the speed they give you is both ways up and down. And the speed you measured, which i assume is download, is about 1/2-3/4 the advertised speed. the other 1/2-1/4 is upload.

    Dont just force it appon them. You might what to set up workshops for people to learn the new system. And dont just rapidly force the new system on them, phase it out slowly.

    Am I the only one who thinks that moving TV over to IP is an intresting idea. Either in sort of a pod casting distribution method or in a tradtional method of channels, or maybe both. DTV http://participatoryculture.org/download.php seems intresting but i havent tried it yet (im waiting for the Windows version).

    Right they have to pay to see police docs. First of all i dont think thats a major problem considering most people have MS Office or MS Oficce compatable apps. And if not i know there is a free veiwer out there some where that lets you look at them
