One because a lot of times you can walk up and say..."oh sorry i left my card at home and the cashier may or may not let you use either theirs or one provided to them.
According to my Cisco teacher the tech industry experiences and up and down pattern about every ten years. First there was PC, and then the Dot Com bubble each followed by a period of less investment but public confidence in the technology. I predict there will be another boom in high tech possibly in Free/Open software. Which will (like the PC and Web boom before them) create a public confidence in Open Source even if investment drops. So you will lose the battle but win the war.
Scary thing is that most people don't know who or what Verisign is. Some may confuse it with Verizon (its happened). So how can you trust someone you don't know.
I think one point he made was good was that it took a while to install "trusted programs". Also on a side note I'm still having some rendering issues with Firefox but a great deal were resolved in 1.0 though some apps don't like the fact that Firefox is my default browser and insist on using IE
So first of all why is he running Virtual PC, I always thought that was a emulation program for Macs. Also why is he using 7-Zip. XPs built in Zip software should be *fine*.:)

One thing you may notice is that these kids used relitivly off the self parts to do this. I'm sure if the project was turned over to a Car company's R&D team they could make it better. Also im not sure if the striped the engine out of the thing buy with a little more twicking they could fit it in the engine space.
