WRONG ubuntu linux has changed the menu system in gnome (added computer menu etc) That can't be a ubuntu computer unless they recomipled gnome without ubuntu support and added the worst theme possible + ubuntu's there looks very nice.

Is it just me or are others pissed off that M$ has taken the term "Service Pack" and stretched it way beyond it's intended meaning?
A Service Pack should fix bugs, provide MINOR enhancements, and performance tweaks. Anything more is a version change.
Hell, I would be perfectly happy to see the term "Service Pack" disapear entirely to be replaced by 0.01 releases and 0.1 for bigger changes, like most of the rest of the world does. At least that terminology has meaning to me.

As a heavy PHP Dev i'd like to note that although people might love all the CMS out there if you really want to get down dirty and know what your doing its always better to code what you need by yourself. In fact its usually better because you know exactly how it works all the loopholes / advantages and you will be able to optimize your site around it. In fact i made my own CMS called themelib with various features like dynamic plugins and static extensions so basically the cms system has all the core components any site needs and i just write extensions that plug right into it which provide the specific funtions i need for specific sites.:)
It may be true that winamp is loosing market. I've actally switched over to WMP9 (i dont like 10, its too clunky [may also be chunky..]). WMP9 is pretty fast and does what i need it to with minimal bs... I dunno whats happening.
i love php, ive been programming using php for at least 3 years now and no concerns. It rocks as a web dev language and there are so many cool things you can do with it! Even windows programming (GTK:))
Anyone know if ATI Radeon 9700 pros (or any other 300 model) can easily be configured in this version. I hate switching to linux because its a big p a i n to set up fglrx properly, 60% doesnt work and 100% has bad preformance..if only ati would start to really support linux...
Althout i may be thrillied that they released a 2.6.9 kernel, i dont see any reason to run off and update me 2.6.8 kernel with this one. Am i missing something but i dont see any major improvments (i just glanced at the notes -:) )

ubuntu has released versions? i have it on cd right now. +ubuntu owns! only reason i dont want to completly switch to it yet is my Ati 9700 PRO...doesnt work that well yet. I even tried their instructions and it sucessfully installs through APT but the module isnt present:( !!fix it ubuntu team!!
cerritos CA, where i live also has gone completly wireless like 2 years ago. (but its one of the richest cities...we even have a library built from some rare as hell metal...(like 15mil $)
