    They overstepped their bounds a bit, but not a whole lot.

    And that is the issue. They should not overstep it. For all I care the other party was raping a pregnant women while selling crack to minors to finance their terrorist activities. That does not mean they can overstep their bounds.

    I can imagine that many people think that to solve crime anything goes as that is what people see on TV shows. "I have hacked their system so we can see who murdered Sally." While that will help to solve the case in 45 minutes, in the real world it means those criminals would walk.

    I just give away/sell/trow away everything I have not used in two years. Clothes, computer parts, all the same. I have given away my C64 and made somebody else happy. My old openSUSE boxed sets go in the bin as soon as I get another. I this get rid of about 95% of the stuff I have. The other 5% are things I mostly keep for decoration. CDs, DVDs and books are among that.
    And yes, there will be some other exceptions. But all in all, I just get rid of stuff I do not need anymore.

    Once a year I do a serious clean up and see what I can get rid of. The thing that was hard to learn was what to do when you are not sure. I have learned that the best thing is to get rid of it. I rather go and try to buy a new coax end then having all that stuff still around.

    Always using a different password is great, but with many websites and many computers I use (some of them not mine, so things like Xmarks don't work) highly impractical.

    http://susestudio.com/ allows you to make your own. This can then be done as USB stick, CD/DVD, VMware and what not. You can decide if you want it to be installable or not, add your own specific software and almost anything else you like.

    How far you go to make things special is up to you.

    However, you will always have non-supported hardware. Happens with any OS, except for the one that was pre-installed and then hope people have not added hardware.

    Pretty lame. You have a game that is basically some blocks that are placed somewhere. Lego is a a toy that places blocks some place. Wake me when tetris is not on the screen, but actual lego.

    KDialog and Zenity are pretty easy to write a script that can be used in a GUI. The underlying thing is just bash (or whatever) itself.

    As a side effect, you could get better tasting meat. Where does meat gets it taste from> From the blood and the more blood, the more taste. Moving will increase the blood flow and thus the taste. The downside is that meat won't be as tender anymore and in todays world tender is more important then taste.

    What the effect is if these are milking cows (which I assume, as they are talking about milking machines), I have no idea. Will the production and/or quality be the same, higher or lower?

    All in all a great idea. Not a solution by itself, but there is no reason why we would go with only one solution.

    I can eat, breath, type and read at the same time while listening to music.
    At these moments I am also thinking ahead of what I am going to do.

    Even typing could be considered doing several tasks at the same time. The sample of 'cooking' in the summery can be defined as multiple tasks. You are standing, you are tasting and smelling, you are planning of what to do next and probably stirring as well as looking.

    For a chef in a kitchen, cooking is also interacting with other people at the same time.
    For some people cooking is pressing the button on the microwave and waiting for the 'ting' of the machine.

    So what is a 'task'?

    Yes, I am talking about the OS. Once you know that, you know there is a market and that is the answer to your question. The customer is not interested in the code. The customer is interested in the result.

    The possibility of losing that kind of man-hour man power is a biggie for an open source project.

    It would be the same for a closed source project. Or do you think that somehow closed source people do not need to get payed? ANY project would suffer if you take away things it had before.

    I am sure they want banning of normal cigarettes as well as the electronic ones. I am sure they are all for banning smoking in public places, which was allowed not so long ago and is still allowed in some places.

    It is not only about pay: The factory violates every labor law in China,
    This is not about having a job you don't like with an ugly uniform and you have to say "Do you want fries with that?" This is about exploiting people by breaking the law. And I can imagine that the Chinese law is perhaps not up to the same standards as the US law, let alone th European law.

    So if you break that law it must be really, really bad.

    Ethics of following the law?

    The factory violates every labor law in China, with grueling, long hours at an exhausting work pace.

    I do not say that they must move country, but at least force their producers to follow the law.

    Why not pigs. In general pigs are often used because their structure is much more like a human. Also they know stress much more like humans and can even die from that same stress. Oh, then perhaps people might not die from the tazering itself, but by the stress caused by repeated tazering.

    I never knew that NASA was around in 1907 when nakelite was developed. And computers only exist because of the Apollo mission? Darn. I am sure interested in those 200 others. Probably you will include The non-stick pan with Teflon as well which was invented in 1938.

    And obviously all these 200 would not have been developed without the Apollo Mission and even more important, the money spend on those invention would not have been spend in any way and this would not have generated any taxes.

    Hey, let's go to the stores and trow in the windows. That will be good for taxes as well as business.
