Before the new series came out, I got all of the original series on Netflix. It's pretty amazing how bad/good it was. But the behind the scenes revealed a lot, like how frequently the actors didn't get the scripts until 5 minutes before shooting, that explains a lot.
I got mine like two weeks ago, Of course, the day that I got the offer I went in and signed up online. I'd imagine that they have quite a few issues to ship out. While I'm not overly interested in the projects in this one, I do like the layout, and I'm sure there will be projects I like in later ones. The articles were great, especially the one on a Fab Lab, I so want some of that equipment.
How many pages are you trying to print? There is a limit to the number of pages you can upload, I did a search on that error message on apples site to find that out. I think it's 65 pages.
How many people pay for an entire CD only to discover the like 1 song? Even if you like half the songs on a CD, that still raises the price per song above $0.99. If I like one song, I can now buy just that one song.
If you don't want to pay as much, and don't want mainstream music. Try BeSonic.com, I've been getting music from them for years, all the songs you can listen to for free, some you can download for free, others require a small monthly fee.
I don't entirely follow how automatic enforcement is a bad thing. This may be an urban legend, but I read that cops in a California city opposed Photo Radar. Why? Because it kept sending tickets to cops that were speeding off duty.
Sometimes justice being blind and automatic is a good thing.
(sometimes it's not, as in the case of "zero-tolerance" laws in public schools that expel an A student for having a paring knife in her car)
Actually, there isn't always a "right to sue" there is such a thing as malicious prosecution. If he is suing people with just the intent to harass them, and you can prove it (very very hard to do) even if he wins, you can counter sue him.
which, while adding to the overall mythic feel of the story, don't really advance the plot or contribute to character development
"So passed the sword of the Barrow-downs, work of Westernesse. But glad would he have been to know it's fate who wroughti slowly long ago in the Norht-Kingdom when Dunedain were young, and chief among thier foews the the dread realm of Angmar it's sorcerer king. No other blade, not though mighter hands had wielded it, would have dealth that foe a wound so bitter, cleaving the undead flesh, breaking the spell that knit his unseen sinews to his will"
The wonderful thing about this series is that everything advances the plot, though it may be two books later before you realize that.
That isn't exactly true, your money is in a money market account, so that, even if paypal goes under, you still get your money back. Read the section on "Safety of your Money".
Is this really a good thing? Either we want government to intervene in our lives or we don't. We can't have it both ways, where they only intervene on the issues that we want. If the government were trying to limit any other sort of email, there would be a huge outcry on here. For instance banning porn. Tell the government to stay the fsck out of it, and I'll find my own ways to block spam.
A few Hundred? I'm getting about 2400 hits a day, of course, I'm on @home.
Incedently, I would have to say the blame for something like this lies with poor sysadmins and home users running NT and the like. MS has had patches out for quite a while, but too many people aren't patching, or don't eve know they need to. There is an argument that MS shouldn't be shipping systems with IIS running by default, but then, most Linux distributions come with apache running by default.
As long as the Federal stormtroopers can force us to allow inferior and disruptive "students" to attend our schools alongside our children -- we are not free
You're not forced to do anything, homeschool.
As long as the Federal stormtroopers can forbid us to pray to our Creator as we choose, we are not free.
Am I free if I am forced to pray to YOUR creator?
As long as they can forbid the education of our children in a Christian manner, we are not free.
Again, homeschool, private school, there are lots of options
As long as they can ram filth down our throats on the television, we are not free.
Turn the stupid thing off
As long as we are denied the right to police our own communities as we see fit, we are not free.
As long as we are policed to conform to others beliefs, are we free?
As long as we are forced to allow undesired outsiders to buy land in our communities, we are not free.
Ask any native american, and they'll tell you that you are an undesirable outsider.
Trespassing is exactly the right word, you are using their server cycles, diskspace and bandwidth. Once a store (or website) tells you to leave, if you come back, it's trespassing.

Robot Wars is hosted by the guy from Red Dwarf, the cool one.
It's been on PBS in my area for a long time.
The format is 4 rounds, at the end of each round the weakest robot is eliminated, the remaining robots face each other in the final round.

I wonder, how would we all feel if it were Linus sending out a C&D for someone misusing the term Linux. Would we still be on the side of trademarks are bad? There is no doubt a lot of confusion here, it's not that hard to rename it.

Yes, Sun is looking after thier own interests I'm sure, but there are a few words in there that make this different from Microsoft's solution:
"decentralized"
"open standard"

There is a lot of irony in Disney, part of the MPAA/DVD-CCA that claimed the open source movement was "dedicated to the proposition that material, copyrighted or not, should be made available over the Internet for free." using Python.
Now they are using software developed by the open source community. Perhaps we should add a new clause to the GPL.
