    I don't think she would have bothered selling the computer if she was interested in the data. I'm sure the data is worth much more than $300 to the right person.

    Obviously it's a good thing that wireless is getting faster. However, most people use wireless for connecting to the Internet. Even 802.11b is much quicker than most Internet connections. It will be a while before this technology is useful to a lot of people.

    Looks like Yahoo and Google weren't interested. No big surprise.

    As other posters have clarified, Gates was probably not talking about the "Don't be evil" slogon. However, that was not immediately obvious from TFA.

    I'm just waiting for Apple to release iTV. People could just download TV shows and watch them whenever they want. TiVo has shown that there would be a demand for such a service.

    So, maybe I'm guilty of trying to save a buck. Enom charges me $8.75 a domain name which is much cheaper than Verisign. I was not aware of their involvement in any frauds or scams but I will certainly check into it. Could you recommend an honest domain reseller?

    I buy my domain names through Enom. Yes, of course, Verisign has a hand in all .com tlds so I don't have much of a choice do I? But where I do have a choice I avoid Verisign.

    I, for one, will not buy any products/services from Verisign. They have been involved in too many shady dealings like the wildcard DNS fiasco. I hope that IT people in the UK do the same with CentralNic.

    While I agree it's important to have valid HTML it appears the one error on their page is quite small. They used the "name" attribute which they should have left out since they already have an the "id" attribute on one of their forms. I think we can forgive them this one mistake.

    It's too bad that Apple is integrating so much DRM into their OS. One of the things that I've always like about Macs is that they work for you - not for someone else. However, DRM seems to be a major shift in this philosophy.
