I rarely watch movies so I guess I'm not the right demographic but I agree 100% of the new release prices. A theater here is only $6.00 for a movie, and renting the dvd is $4.00, screw that.
It's a subscription service and a brick and mortar blockbuster isn't.
It would be nice if someone offered a service where I could just request a movie, pay my couple of bucks or whatever and have it mailed. If I didn't want anything that month then I wouldn't have to pay.
Get back to me when a 1080x is sub $350. Thats my cutoff for anything dealing with AV. It's just not worth anything more than that.
I'm generally a sports watcher so blu-ray, hd-dvd and such really don't matter to me, but I know I get the same experience watching nfl on my 26" sd crt as i do watching it on my uncles 52" sony.
We had two AP classes when I was in HS, calculus and biology. Chemistry was added a year after I graduated. They are probably more now (I graduated in '98 and went to a very rural school) but those two classes were full of sports players.
As far as advanced non-ap classes, we had English, college vocab and physics.
Asshole. They are fund raising, not begging. The next time I see a stop-light fund raiser collecting money for down-symdrome, I'm going to say "It's kinda funny, I never see normal people, begging for change..."
Of course you never nerds fund raising, they don't participate in any extra-curricular activities that require as much money as sports do (equipment, uniforms, game fees.)
I worked for a pro sports team and have seen more hours of game film than most slashdotters have sci-fi. Coaches and recruiters look at film and if it looks good, they go and watch them play in person or have them come in for a practice. Film has been used for years in recruiting but it has never been and is not currently the sole decider. Any recruiter worth his salt will not never try and recruit someone based solely on film. Do you really think that don't know that people will pick out the best film or even have it doctored?
A little side rant. Whats with this idea that you couldn't have been an academic in high school while playing sports? A significant number of the 10% of my class played sports, usually more than one. Very few on the other end of the academic scale did anything extracurricular. No they didn't get in the top 10% by taking bullshit classes either as our harder (advanced and AP) classes were weighted 5.0 on 4.0 scale.
First person shooters and racing games are getting a little old, how about something new?
I've more or less quit gaming after finishing HL2. Granted I never was a huge gamer but it's the same 'ole shit. Aliens are invading earth, one dude saves us all. It's WWII, some guy single-handedly wins the battle of buldge. Blah, blah, blah.
I guess this is why I still get out of the NES or N64 more than anything. At least "Army Men, Sarges Hero's" was fun. Maybe it's me, but I like comedy and am really tired of the sci-fi, dough-boy, rice-rocket shit. What happened to fun/funny games?
Hours? I flew from Midway to Philadelphia and then back the same way a few weeks ago. I was running behind in Chicago and it took less than 30mins to get from my vehicle into the plane.
That was on Friday. Granted I had already check my baggage earlier, but it still wasn't bad.
The web is more reliable? My ass! Between trying to track down the real sources and the fact that there is basically zero accountability with posting, I call BS.
Show me the last time someone got fired for posting lies on the web, not fired from the real job, but in a way that prevents them from posting anymore. It doesn't happen. Dan Rather got booted from CBS, show me the equivalent on the internet.
Oh yea, we also have this lack of local news on the internet. My county has one newspaper and roughly 10% of their news makes it onto the net, with maybe 75% of that coming from their website. Where am I supposed get the other 90%?
I have a cingular 8125 I use occasionally (when wifi is avail, no way I am paying mobile internet fee's) and this would be great. I have IE and Opera mobile on it, but end up mostly using IE. Opera mini was nice on my flip phone, but Opera Mobile doesn't render well at all. I have to side scroll all the time, and I can't stand side scrolling. The tabs and buttons keep it on my phone though.
Any recommendations on what the best browser avail right now is?
As the subject states, I wouldn't touch this, unless it was an official release from my board manufacturer. With a bad install or software bug, I can just re-install, but a bad bios can hose the motherboard. I might try it if someone had it running on the exact same hardware, down to part #'s for the ram.
I'm admittedly not terribly bleeding-edge when it comes to hardware or electronics, but mucking with my bios is a no no.

Anyone who can't walk 3.5mi seriously needs to rethink their health.
I'm a runner though so maybe I'm biased.

It's all about content.
If someone wants to blow something up, they need to look no further than under the sink. How long before Drain-O is a thing of the past?
It's sad really, those sets got me interested enough to pick chemistry as a career.
Show me a video card that is sub 3-digit in price. No way am I going to spend $200 on a video card.
An Encyclopedia is not a source. It doesn't matter if it's editable or not.
I just changed it after that because I realized, who gives a shit?
I'm a shit-jock? Yea I played sports in high school, so what?
It's no so easy to use the 1,000,000=1mb with this system. Unless they do it anyway.

Do they cost you $30-50k/year?
Sorry the shit typos. I forgot to use preview.

A news station should never support or not support it. They should simply report the facts and leave it at that.
News should never take a stand on an issue.
It's simple really. They vote.

Most modern helicopters do not have a jesus nut.

offtopic or not, Charlie Brown should NEVER be modded down!

I have a desktop that I built, but I primarily use a notebook. I've yet to see a modern notebook with a socketed BIOS or even jumpered.
As the subject states, I wouldn't touch this, unless it was an official release from my board manufacturer. Storing hibernation data/standby data, hence why it's for notebooks.
