Like the parent I've got to agree with this. This isn't the 80s any more, video games just doesn't sound right. COmputer games sounds better and less "lol I can play space invades with my VCR!!"
Because the US depends heavily on satalites for things like GPS and if China decides to start popping holes in Satalites nothing short of a full scale invasion (Read : USA can't win this in their wildest dreams, least of all after pissing off the Arabic areas of this planet) will stop them.

While we may not like people pointing it out things only advance through ignorant, debate and insightful driven by these debates. With these debates we currently discuss if global warming is real, what's making it happen and how we fix it. If we get rid of the nay-says we end up with "It's real guys, humans did it, we must stop doing EVERYTHING because we're not sure what the hell is going on".

I have to wonder why this is the news story when we have current rumours saying Square are selling off Siken Densetsu, Chrono and the Kingdom hearts franchises. Wouldn't this be a massive news story as opposed to Square failing in the educational market?

Why must ALL games be realistic as possible? Does it really enhance Mario for a Goomba to stay squished on the floor?
Realism ! = Games
Games are about having fun and some times this means gore fest super realistic and other times it means a fat jolly man bouncing on Mushrooms. Realism has a time and a place, not always is it in games.
It's not just the US. Here in the UK We're getting shitty cartoons where half the stuff is in Mexican as well. I've never even seen a Mexican and yet for some reason it's a useful language for British people to know..

Personally I will outright go "you're being stupid, THINK" to someone, but I wouldn't go "oh that's okay, every body forgets which mouse button to click and can't find the little X in the corner you've used a hundred times before". Some might think I have an attitude problem for it, but personally I see it as different values. Geeks (who are drawn to IT) value the truth and no sugar coatings involved, 'normal' people are the opposit.
So why we may upset people or say the "wrong" thing, to us we're not having an attitude problem, we're just acting how we'd like everyone to act.

Lets say the cow has some sympton of old age, this will roll over onto the new born animal as well. They clone the current state and put it in the form of an old state, so all the cell degeneration from 10+ years of living (example) is now present in a 1 day old animal.
These cells won't be repaired and infact will just get worse, so clone 1 maybe fine for a few years, but as it gets older it will be twice the "age" in body than it should be in time. This would lead to a major increase in cancer (bad cells = easy cancer) and would also be very cruel on any clones born for exactly the same reason.
Would you clone a 50 year old man without thinking how a 10 year old boy's body will deal with having 60 year old health problems/damage?
I don't think clones are "any less human", infact I think they will be quite human except aged differently. My issue is with us playing with cloning on things and then going "Well fuck me, we've just completely fucked up" 10 years later when they find out Cow #2947492 was infact carrying an extremely rare defect which can be passed onto humans and thanks to cloning 10,000 people have this defect.
Remember natural things are very difficult to balance and when we mess with them we tend to muck them up. Messing with the very essence of life (birth) is really really asking for trouble. I don't believe there is some hidden Soul or deity going to punish us for it, but I think having people around with defective bodies is unfair on the people and could present problems for future breeding.
I've had the urge to do things like that. For several weeks I plotted how to do it and everything. But I never acted on it because it's a lot different to think than it is to do.

I make sure everything is away safely and things like this. I know I can do dangerous things but I also know to keep myself safe.
Only 1 person in my family knows I have a problem and the others have no idea what so ever. I haven't set fire to the house yet so why should they know? You need to remember people are people and we each have limits and only stupid people try to push them.

I don't think it is.. but how I read this, I would be in very deep trouble for something I have no control over and effects me less than the average time a guy spends horny a month which effects them in a different way but with about the same direct effect on their beahaviour (wanting sex isn't the same as hating the world, but neither can be controlled).
