Cellular is usually expensive, slow, capped, and uses a lot of power compared to wifi. I don't do private stuff on unknown wifis.
And I bet they have backups of your datas too. :(
I know people who really hates emails and prefer other methods like Facebook, textings (can't even BCC!), etc.
