RTFA. It said that NO disk would require a connection to the internet. That is part of the standard, so how are they going to lock you playing it to one player? The (stated) reason that MS went with HD-DVD over Blu-ray is that Blu-ray doesn't have a spec for managed copy access. That was also one of the things they addressed in the article, but I guess it would be too much bother for you to read it.
I actually like to argue with people like that. Even if I agree with them. If they can't take the time to actually think through stuff I like to watch their veins pulse when I rile them up. It's fun.
Actually even that is wrong. They can only verify that you DID work there. They can in no shape, form, or fashion ask if you are eligible for re-hire. I made very sure of this before I quit my last job because I had some very nasty things to say about my boss in my exit interview.
My last job I gave notice of quiting the day I was. The exit interview was a blast!! I wasn't even drunk. I was completely honest, and as it turns out gave HR the ammo to make some changes that needed to be made. None of the really big changes, but some to make the life of my former co-workers a little more bearable.
Unless you have a PHB that won't LET you upgrade at this time. Perhaps that is what they were simulating, after all they were going for "real world" conditions.
I remember having to go from VB 6, with the ability to pause durning debug, write some code, or change some code, and then go again FROM THE SAME PLACE! No restart needed. It was great. Then.Net hit and now you have to restart the damn thing any time you make a change. Blow.
That kind of depends on how you are defining "web services". I don't think the author is going for a strict definition, and is instead using the term to signify web apps, because I've never really seen any web services in real use either.
I beat farcry, but it was the first game I had to play on "normal" setting to do it to. You're right, the AI in that is unholy. I think they sold their souls or something to get it that good.
Hopefully this will push a whole bunch of issues to the attention of people, such as EULA's and the like, and maybe, just maybe, we'll get some good case law on it that is in the interest of the consumer.
I seem to remember reading something similar when congress was passing new anti-spyware laws. Gator includes some little caveat in their EULA about installing software and the verbage of the law was written to expressly deny this ability. I don't remember exactly, not have the time to track down, but I'm pretty sure that there are grounds here for lawsuits under that law. If nothing else someone can try to get a class action going.
I've got the 960, it is 1800 still I think. But I like the things they improved about it over the 910. I'm pretty sure it is the last CRT XBR they are going to make though.
Sony still is the best. They're high end products have no equal. They are harder to find though. When I got my XBR CRT there was only 1 in the entire city (approx 1 million people). Amazingly enough the store that had it was Circuit City. Weird.
Innovate or die. Welcome to capitalism, now either get out of my way with your namby pamby feelings our I'll claw my way over your corpse to climb the corporate ladder.
What makes you think that they pay any moving costs at all, not even considering 8K worth of costs. Companies don't do that much for "grunt" work. If you want the job you pay for the move yourself.
Also, the only difference between hiring and H1B and a "local" worker and then droping them after six months if the cost of flying them back and forth. They still get work out of both of them, even though the work may suck.
And how many H1B's have you heard about being sent back after 6 months anyways? I haven't heard of any even though I've known a few who needed to have that happen to them.
Actually, that is without kids and mortage. And that isn't what I bring home, it is about 3,400 (no state taxes) every two weeks. I figured being single in Cali, paying their taxes would drop it a bit lower than what I get.
You know, my dad had one of the compaq portable computers. I remember taking it on road trips and playing games on it. Damn thing was heavy though.

You're right, no one will call you an idiot, you moron.

I went looking for Pong at my grand father's house the other day, but couldn't find it. :-( I remember whiling away HOURS playing that game.
It took me just long enough to find another job where I wouldn't be asked to do those things.
And let the firestorm or lawsuits increase.

Explain why this wouldn't apply to a shrink-wrapped commercial product please.
Ohh, there is a good one. Off shoring would be just as taxable. Someone should bring this up to a congress critter that is in favor of off shoring.

ANY book that talks about a database should have a chapter about Normalization in it. Or you can just google "database normalization".
Remember boys and girls, third normal form is, mostly, your friend.
Quit feeding the troll, you'll only make it spew more shit.

Is that what that is? I've had an NEC (forget the model) since they came out with "their" trinitron model. I always wondered what those lines were.

Your logic is flawed.

Not many vans have 4 wheel drive and also they don't handle as well off road, since they aren't designed for it.
