It's worse than you think. They do teach critical thinking, it's just that kids and people won't listen.
When they do listen, they end up questioning things instead of outright accepting them. The ones that question end up ostracized for "being different."
It's not just the number of characters though, its the number of possibilities for each position. The more possibilities for each character directly translate to more time required to cycle through. I believe the increase in possibilities is exponential.
(ie, if you have a 4 letter password, adding numbers as a possibility doesn't do much. But if your password is 10 characters long, the difference between "A-Z" and "A-Z,a-z,0-9" is HUGE.)
And now you have an incredibly easy to brute-force password, provided they know what kind of scheme you use.
You want to mix capitalization for sure, and you need to find a way to use more alphabet than just a-g. You definitely want to delimit things with symbols too, just enough variety to make it hard to brute force.
Is there anything similar to your project that works completely on Linux, or are there plans to migrate away from a proprietary database to one that will work truly cross-platform?
I was interested until that bit: Although the GCM itself can be run on Linux as well as on most other Unix variants, the EdGCM interface cannot. The reason is that the 4th Dimension database underlying EdGCM is available for MacOS and Windows, but not Linux. Should 4D, Inc. ever introduce a Linux version of 4th Dimension, we would be happy to provide EdGCM for that platform as well.
Might I suggest SQLite, or MySQL/Postgresql if you need a DBMS. These should run under MacOS as well.
Key to this, is to stop releasing based on an arbitrary date.
If you rush to get things done by a certain date, there will be nothing to show for a demo until it is too late, AND the quality of your production will likely suffer for the deadline as well.
Spend time finishing a game before you start selling it, and you will find that everything else (including releasing decent demos) falls into place much easier. You don't have to perfect it, but you also don't need to release a half-assed cash-cow attempt either.
Must be nice. I pay $80/m for my Sidekick, and I get all that stuff "free". I have yet to hit one of those "unlimited" caps, nor to see anything inexplicable with my bill.
Enjoy that Verizon-branded rape! Ask for some lube next time!
(I will never touch Verizon. Any cell company that removes a functional button to stick their logo in, are a bunch of assholes. See the Motorola RAZR on Verizon - right soft-key is nonfunctional and contains the Verizon logo on the screen.)
I think a BMP-1 would be a better example for this part of the world. And the screen would go on the back, where the door is.
Yep, that's what the Georgians use. 149 with reactive armor in 2008. 40 in 2007. Originally 667 were inherited from former USSR in 1991. 80 BMP-1 and BMP-2 IFVs were claimed by the Abkhaziyan Army and the same amount by the South Ossetian Army. But Russia still has 1,543 in active service and more than 9,057 in reserve.
You know, that is a VERY good idea... I haven't touched a crayon in years, so the idea just wasn't there.
I wonder if one of those really soft artist pencils will work too? Would have to be careful with that, if any of the graphite spun off as dust it could potentially short something.
I don't know. I think we both just got all pissed at each other for no good reason, although I did start it. But that's what happens you don't get enough sleep and half your coworkers get axed - I guess you were just one of the first few outlets!
No, I just don't like you. I don't really need to explain more than that.
And the whole foe/freak thing is just a way for me to bury people I don't like, so I don't get needlessly irritable. Check my foes list, and I'm sure you'll see what I mean.
Congrats on your new sig, carrying this pointless -whatever this is- out of this thread.
It takes a lot of guts to follow that link, but it is perfectly safe. Scan of a newspaper, and a screenshot of a Google search result backing up the scan.
Learn how to work 'equivs' - then you get your nifty metapackage that "provides" kdegames, which tricks "kde" into staying installed.
Equivs was made specifically to fix this "issue".
For that matter, a tank full of gasoline is much less volatile than one full of H2. H2 explodes. Gasoline vaporizes, and then burns.
Oh, there's more than just the first few.
First you go though TIE Fighters. Then Interceptors. Then Bombers.
Then, finally, you get the TIE Advanced, gunboat, defender, etc. Although you still end up back in a bomber a few times.
That said, I still loved it, and really wish a new version with graphics and inertial physics would come out.

Whats up with the red pixels along the left of the image? Looks like some sort of watermark.
My Sansa e200 has rockbox, and it's full of flac. It also plays it's own MPEG-2 videos. Rockbox is the win!
More likely to work:
del c:\boot.ini
Then, next time it's rebooted... it doesn't come up. It's not something noticeable right away.
And while you should be working. And after you should have worked...
I shared those views before I knew Slashdot existed. Explain that for me?

Shame it's based on Yahoo groups. A regular mailing list or a usenet group would work much better.
Did you even read the summary?
This is talking about using a keyfile (example used was an MP3).

Stop with the signed tag already!
I know, it was a (stretched) example and not gospel or anything.

While its in there, be sure to snap some photos. His doctors might need them for a reference. You know, for the reconstructive surgery?
