So you generate a random number, encrypt that using your own throwaway key-pair (or one-time pad), and use the base64 output as your password? Actually, that'd be a good idea...
Hey, it's free publicity as far as I can see. Most bands on MySpace need all the publicity they can get, and MySpace is one of the best places in which to do so. Now for those who want to get the decent quality music, the bands can offer them through emusic, magnatunes, or some other good, DRM-free music store.
Doesn't assembly have far too many non-Turing instructions to be converted to Brainfuck? Either that, or it has overly complex functions that can't be implemented with simple memory modification (unless you execute said modified memory, but that doesn't seem Turing complete to me).
Why is it that when ATT got sued by pretty much everyone at once over the NSA illegal wiretapping, their stocks didn't plummet? Why doesn't Microsoft's plummet after pretty much everything they do?
If most politicians are corrupt, and Republicans hold the majority in Congress, then it's safe to assume that the Republicans are more corrupt than the Democrats currently because there are more of them. It's logical. Once Dems get majority again, they'll be the more corrupt.
Everything in the Acid2 test are based on the formal standards of CSS. There are a few tests to see if the browser handles CSS errors correctly, but it tests a wide range of CSS attributes.
Since VC-1 (WMV3) is supported by MPlayer now, I don't care if it gets at least somewhat big. If only they'd use a real media container format (e.g. Matroska or QuickTime) instead of Microsoft's crappy ASF.
But since this is a university, we can probably assume that the NAT and firewall are on the same router(s).
That's alright; hell has a great unfiltered 10GigE connection for every user. Too bad your upload is rate-limited to 64k... :(
And you can use it with PHP to boot.

You could phish for research purposes...
I guess that proves that being slashdotted is far worse than the digg effect. We have way more users! :D

AAC is like Vorbis; very good quality at a low bitrate (even 128k is pretty good on many speakers and headphones out there).
Better question: what the fuck does it do? I learnt in broadcasting that ads need to tell you what the hell it's for else it fails.
He was just basing it on pretty much everything Microsoft has ever done or does now, so I don't blame him for assuming that.
Because it doesn't end with 99 or 95.
One more word: VLC.
Out of the kindness of his own heart, some dude named Vinsci created a redirect so that people don't have to worry about the broken link.
But 60 quid extra? WTF

Man, you rounded c off wrong: 299 792 458. I also wish that were my SSN as I can remember that, but I can't remember my SSN.
Because it takes like 20x longer to get a poll posted than an Ask Slashdot article...

The only person I ever saw in real life with a Segway was a chick, but your joke still stands.

Well, for one, Firefox uses a lot more memory... ;p

Just use "!=" like any sensible person would do! :P
Anyhow, I remember Dvorak writing on pcworld.com, but maybe I'm mistaken.

I didn't know businesses could vote...
